Just listened to the AfterBuzz podcast for this ep and one of the hosts threw out the idea that Bonnie killed Lila, either out of jealously, or maybe she was attempting to protect Sam. I think that’s a really interesting idea, considering in this ep we had Annalise saying that Sam’s the person in that house that Bonnie cares about protecting.
They also talked about how the scratches on Wes’ wall are shown again in the promo and how there’s gotta be something to do with the guy who lived there before that’s gonna come out, and that reminded me how in this ep Rebecca even referred to Wes as “Rudy2.0”. Then I googled and found a thing that I wouldn’t say is spoilery because it doesn’t give specifics, (I actually wanna try to stay spoiler free for this show because the twists are so good)…
We’re actually going to learn a lot more about Rudy, the mysterious law student who inhabited Wes’ apartment before him that apparently went crazy. “I want that to be a slow burn story, but we will definitely understand how those scratches came to be,” says executive producer Pete Nowalk, who humored me when I floated a theory that the Bonnie could have something to do with his breakdown. “You’re not far off at all. No theory is far off.”

So now I’m wondering what the frick Rudy’s story is gonna be and how it’s gonna be relevant.[adrotate group="5"]October 24, 2014 at 10:53 am #287153RumplesGirlKeymasterRe Bonnie killed Lila: that makes a lot of sense, actually. She’s clearly in love with Sam. But it could be a red herring as well since they keep teasing various people and their motives.
Rudy: Interesting!!!!

Having thought about it some more, I’m convinced (until I see next week’s ep that’ll disprove it LOL) that Bonnie killed Lila. She wants to be with Sam but isn’t allowed to touch and has accepted that, but then Lila gets to do ALL the touching, so Bonnie wants her eliminated because jealousy sucks. Even though she wants to get rid of Lila, she doesn’t want Sam implicated because she loves him, so she waits until he’s out of town, because then he’s got an air tight alibi so even if it did come out that he was sleeping with Lila, he couldn’t be a suspect. But even though Bonnie knows all the tricks to cover up a murder, one thing she CAN’T control is Sam’s actions, and the idiot had to go and screw up her plan by driving back to town that night.
Also, another thing that I’ve been wondering…has it actually been explicitly stated that the trophy was the murder weapon? Or are we just assuming that because it was covered in blood? Like, is it possible that when they got there Michaela was holding it, (having taken it from Asher) and she walked in in the dark, almost tripped over Sam’s body, dropped the trophy in the pool of blood and then went to curl up in the corner and freak out? Could an injury from that trophy even result in such a big pool of blood? Or did someone else stab/shoot him and the bloody trophy is an epic red herring?

From the beginning I was leaning toward Bonnie being Lila’s murderer. But with this show, who knows! Everyone is suspect. I know I’m not the biggest fan of Rebecca. And we have two murders to solve
I have learned what “jury nullification” means as a result of last night’s episode now. See, who says you don’t learn from television shows. 😉 We also learned a lesson on not to take certain types of pictures in front of distinctive wallpaper, so if you get the urge to do it, make sure there are no identifying objects or features in the room. 😆

I’m pretty sure we don’t, it’s just been assumed because the trophy is the only weapon-ish object covered in blood that we’ve seen. But just because they haven’t been shown trying to clean the blood off any other potential weapon, that doesn’t mean that there isn’t a completely different weapon, probably something the killer took with them. If they haven’t been looking for another weapon, that should mean that they know it’s not there, which could mean that they were there when the killing happened and know that the killer left with the weapon. And considering the lengths they’re going to, you’d think that if they know the ID of the killer, it’s someone they know.
I know I’m not the biggest fan of Rebecca.
I like Rebecca because I can’t figure her out. She really could just be a messed up girl stuck in a messed up situation, or she could be a plotting psycho.
And we have two murders to solve
It could turn out that both murders were committed by the same person though. Like, if Bonnie really is messed in the head and killed Lila because she loves Sam, then killed Sam because he messed up her original plan to kill Lila without him being implicated, and deep down she really does love Annalise more and she wants to get rid of Sam for her sake because the whole situation just ended up too messy. If Bonnie killed Lila when Sam was out of town, maybe she killed Sam when Annalise was out of town, which is why we haven’t seen where she’s at on murder night yet. But I dunno that the kids would go to such lengths in order to protect Bonnie, because it’s not like they’re BFFs with her.
At this point I suspect pretty much everyone, (including characters we haven’t met yet), except Frank, which is funny because originally he seemed like one of the shadiest characters.
October 24, 2014 at 11:18 pm #287291RumplesGirlKeymasterI’m still really suspicious of Sam for Lila’s death. He’s lying to Annie because clearly the affair was more than just in his office, hence the wallpaper. But Rebecca seems to think that they are in out it–we know they aren’t given Annalise’s reaction to it. It could be that Sam and Bonnie are in on it, though. She discovered the affair, and then when Sam killed Lila, Bonnie helped cover it up.
And part of me still thinks Sam’s death is a big test–Annalise killed him and then told her students this was their final exam.

October 30, 2014 at 10:59 pm #288268RumplesGirlKeymasterLord, Asher is annyoing
Ahhhh. So Asher has big connections.
“It’s for Annalise.” Lies, Bonnie.
Wes laying down the law.
Bonnie is kind of a hypocrite. She’s all judgey about Frank while she’s all hot and bothered over Sam?
“Old ladies find me charming.” No one finds you charming, Asher
OMG. Near miss of Asher in the street!!!!! (DUDE!)
Judge Daddy is bad judge and bad daddy
“I want the trophy…” Or you could earn it like other people. You know, I don’t much like Asher.
“That’s the best thing I’ve seen in days” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
“It’s always the one you least expect.” (Foreshadowing for Sam?)
“Oh ye Oh ye Oh ye.” I need to use that on a daily basis
GO ANNALISE GO!!!
ANNALISE KEATING FOR EVERYTHING. VIOLA DAVIS FOR EVERYTHING!!!! ALL THE AWARDS!!! ALL OF THEM!!!! EVERY. LAST. ONE. OF. THEM.
YES!!! VICTORY!!!!
Oh wow. She planted the evidence?
Ack. Feel bad for Frank.
Okay, Wes is nice and all but SO NAIVE. You’ve known Rebecca for like a few weeks at best and already you believe in her to this extent.
New wallpaper….ooooh.
“I need you.” 🙁
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Dang it!!!
WHAAAAAAAAAA-???!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??! BONNIE?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!
THERE GOES MY THEORY.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 30, 2014 at 11:16 pm #288270RumplesGirlKeymasterOk. I’m making lists.
Inside the Law Office (the night of the murder)
–Sam (victim)
–Wes
–Rebecca
–Connor
–Michelea
–Laurel
Murder weapon: The trophy of justice. Last known location : Asher’s apartment. He believes someone broke in and stole it.
Missing From Law Office (night of murder)
–Asher+
–Bonnie+
–Frank^
–Annalise*
* = Annalise was in the law office shortly after the 4 Law Students and Rebecca removed Sam’s body from the house.
+ = Asher and Bonnie were together when Annalise came home to the apartment. Asher was NOT in the Law Office during the time of the crime. Either Bonnie was not in the house OR she left the house after committing the murder and went to Asher for an alibi. The phone call Asher got..he sounded VERY surprised that she wanted to come over and she was very cold afterwards. It’s possible Bonnie is using Asher to cover for her and he is unaware.
^ = Frank was at home trying to call Laurel after some sort of falling out in their relationship. Laurel goes to Frank’s after the Law Students burn Sam’s body.
Main Suspect Right Now: Bonnie. Obviously in love with Sam; smart lawyer who knows how to cover her tracks.
PROBLEM: Why break into Asher’s apartment to steal the trophy?
