Viola Davis…Viola Davis…Viola Davis….SKIP THE FREAKING EMMY AND JUST GIVE THIS WOMAN A (BEEPING) OSCAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OR BETTER YET, JUST GIVE HER BOTH! That court room scene, the way she layed into that Senator like she was grilling a hot dog, YES Annalise! Yes!
Wow…Michaela actually did something in the Future Arc besides breaking down. She actually called to distract Asher!
Wes…kid’s got a pair, I will give him that! Blackmailing the teacher/boss….but dude…at least tell her to give you five A’s on your future tests.
Anyone else wondering how Bonnie just magically pops up out the blue at just the right moment? Or am I the only one?
Connor was his funny sassy self as usual! I think he’s like my third favorite character in the whole series!!!!!!!!!
And Sam and Annalise…her protecting him like a ride or die wife…I must say is very impressive! Staying in the same house with the man who now knows that you know he killed his former student/side gal….she’s very trusting, that’s all I can say!

October 31, 2014 at 4:51 am #288286PheeParticipantThat whole final section, I was gasping and flailing, OH MY GOD!
This week’s trial was about Annalise taking a stand to out perjury because she was so affected by the corruption and unfairness of it all…then she went and planted evidence on Griffin. GAH, it’s so hypocritical of her, but you can still sympathise with her because she’s going to such lengths to protect Sam, because despite everything, she needs him. This is how you write complex characters, folks!!
Can’t wait to see what Nate does with those photos. Frank is so busted, which means Annalise is so busted, and what does Nate feel about Annalise these days? Does he have any sympathy for her, or will he wanna use this evidence to bring her down?
Dang near fell outta my chair when Bonnie was in Asher’s bed. It’s not like there were even that many suspects of who might be there when the camera panned over, so I dunno who I was expecting, but Bonnie totally blindsided me. There are a few characters who we’d been wondering about their whereabouts on murder night, and this ep it was like BOOM this is where Asher was that night, then BOOM this is where Bonnie was, then it ended with a completely unexpected BOOM HERE’S ANNALISE ON MURDER NIGHT.
“It’s always the one you least expect.” (Foreshadowing for Sam?)
Or just foreshadowing for Bonnie being in Asher’s bed? Speaking of, “Team Bosher,” they actually had Asher come up with a ship name for him and Bonnie mid-episode and by the end of the ep they’d slept together. LOL
GO ANNALISE GO!!!
ANNALISE KEATING FOR EVERYTHING. VIOLA DAVIS FOR EVERYTHING!!!! ALL THE AWARDS!!! ALL OF THEM!!!! EVERY. LAST. ONE. OF. THEM.
YES!!! VICTORY!!!!
I was literally APPLAUDING at the screen, like, HOLY CRAP YOU GO GIRL!!!
Okay, Wes is nice and all but SO NAIVE.
Either naive or a super schemer, I really can’t figure him out still. I mean, he’s the big hearted “puppy” who wants everyone to have fair trials, but he has no qualms about evidence being planted? Like, I know that helps Rebecca, and he likes Rebecca, but still, it’s sort of an illegal way to go about it but he’s cool with it. Notice he didn’t comment when Annalise touched the scratches on his wall and enquired, “You and Rebecca?” He’s perfectly happy for Annalise to believe that he and Rebecca are engaging in wall clawing sex, even though they’re not. And he’s getting changed in the next room without even bothering to close the door, which, now that I think about it, is a stark contrast to how she covered herself when he came into her house last episode. I just can’t get it outta my head that he’s up to mind games of some sort.
Murder weapon: The trophy of justice. Last known location : Asher’s apartment. He believes someone broke in and stole it.
I’m still not convinced it will be the murder weapon in the end. Reckon it’s totally possible that someone shot or stabbed him and he bled out before they even got there with the trophy.
Annalise was in the law office shortly after the 4 Law Students and Rebecca removed Sam’s body from the house.
After her, “I need you,” breakdown, I’m inclined to say that there’s no way she could have killed him. But then, maybe the point came where she’d decided that she was DONE being so needy, and the only way to get herself to cut him off was if he was dead? That whole, “Always the one you least suspect,” line is DOING MY HEAD IN because now I dunno what to believe because if they show us something that makes me think, “Well that rules them out,” maybe that means I should actually suspect them MORE. GAH! *HEADDESK* I love this show! LOL
At the moment I’m still leaning the way of Annalise NOT being the killer, but the students maybe think she is, which is why they’re going to such lengths to try and cover everything up in an attempt to protect her.
Either Bonnie was not in the house OR she left the house after committing the murder and went to Asher for an alibi. The phone call Asher got..he sounded VERY surprised that she wanted to come over and she was very cold afterwards. It’s possible Bonnie is using Asher to cover for her and he is unaware.
It’s a great alibi, especially now that Bonnie knows that Asher’s dad is a powerful man, so who better to get into bed with if you’re trying to set up an alibi, because if your alibi starts to fall apart, Asher could ask daddy to help them out of the situation. But is it too obvious that that would be Bonnie’s alibi? I mean, the timing works almost too perfectly? But then why would Bonnie screw one of the students unless it was necessary, because she’s so anti the concept of Laurel and Frank?

Nate blames Annalise for losing his job. So is he trying to gather enough information to be able to blackmail her to get money out of her because he’s gotta pay for his wife’s cancer treatment somehow now that he’s lost his job?
Michaela txt Asher that she was at the library, but then he saw photos of her at the bonfire. Is he just gonna write that off or will it become a thing where he’s all, “Wait up, you weren’t where you said you were gonna be, you were at this other place, were you at the house when I was banging on the door after all?”
Who’s this Alicia who called Asher at the start of the ep and interrupted his private dance party? “Alicia, hey what time you goin’ to the bonfire, girl? What study? No I don’t have to study, I gots the trophy…I gotta call you back.” It seems he went straight to Annalise’s place after that phonecall, at which time Sam was already dead, and he didn’t get the booty call from Bonnie until later. So, say if Bonnie says that she spent the night with Asher as her alibi (if she killed Sam), and he backs her up, then could this Alicia person testify that at a certain point in time Asher was NOT with Bonnie, he was planning to go to the bonfire, which busts Bonnie’s alibi and means that no court can trust what Asher says?
Saw someone on tumblr suggest that Lila was killed at Wes’ place and the scratches on the wall are from her, which is why they keep getting referred to. Did the as yet unseen Rudy potentially kill Lila in his apartment and are those potentially murder scratches instead of sex scratches?
Can Frank be trusted? Did he REALLY get rid of all the incriminating evidence attached to that photo, or could he have it stashed somewhere just in case it comes in handy at some point?
One of the little moments that made me kinda suss on Wes was when Rebecca said no one had ever believed in her like this before and he responded with, “I know.” That response just seemed a bit emotionally disconnected or something? You’d expect a statement that reinforces how he believes in her, but instead it came across kinda like, “Yup, that’s why I’m doing it,” but in a calculated way as opposed to a supportive way maybe?
Also, I can’t tell if he’s intentionally bringing it whenever he speaks to Annalise alone or if it’s just a random on screen chemistry thing between the actors. Like, he actually peeked back around the door at her AS HE WAS REMOVING HIS TOWEL and then he sauntered into the room all mostly dressed except for his unbuttoned shirt exposing his wet torso. Now I know I’m not Annalise, and maybe she ain’t a cougar, but I’m just sayin’, if I were in her position, he’d have totally thrown me off my game, so I’ve gotta wonder if he’s doing it intentionally.

Yes I’ve been wondering about those scratches.

If you had asked me a few weeks ago, I’d say that Frank was just a lech, but now….in the present day he really does seem to be wrapped up with Laurel and his “creepy” factor has been greatly diminished. He also seems to view Annalise as family. I want to know more about him, but right now I’m inclined to think he’s not a bad guy. Also, if Nate knows he planted evidence but Frank is a free man on Murder-Night, then either Nate never arrested him OR Frank got out of it somehow.

Hmmm. There might be more to Wes than meets the eye.
OR he could be so protective and obsessive with Rebecca by that point that he’d kill for her.

Oh that’s an excellent point! Hmmm, now my brain has another tangent to ponder.
I was both excited and slightly in a panic when the promo said that Sam’s killer is revealed in two weeks. I’m here all, “YES I NEEED TO KNOW ASAP…but…I wanna try and figure it out myself first and will we get enough new information before then that I’m able to decide who did it?”
OR he could be so protective and obsessive with Rebecca by that point that he’d kill for her.
He could well be. But then I question whether the rest of them would be willing to hang around and put themselves through this hell, risk going to jail themselves, all just to protect Wes? I might believe that Laurel would, because she and Wes seem to be almost friends, but Connor and Michaela are in the frienemy zone, so would they risk their necks for Wes and/or Rebecca? And so far none of the scenes have had any of them lashing out at Wes in a “You (and/or your girlfriend) got us into this,” way. So if it WAS Wes (and/or Rebecca) who killed Sam, I don’t think the rest know.
October 31, 2014 at 11:31 pm #288385PheeParticipantToday I’m feeling like Bonnie definitely killed Sam. Bonnie’s true loyalty and love is to Annalise, but Annalise can’t see that, she thinks Bonnie only cares about Sam, which is increasingly frustrating for Bonnie. With the growing animosity that Bonnie has been witness to with that marriage, she decided to prove her love for Annalise by setting her free of Sam. Bonnie only sees the moments of tension, she doesn’t see the moments of, “I need you,” so she thinks she’s doing Annalise a huge favour getting rid of him.
I reserve the right to completely change my mind 50 times in the next two weeks, but right now, that’s what I reckon.
