I think they’re going to do a lot more focusing on Emma/Snow than Emma/Charming, mainly because in general mother/daughter relationships are a lot stronger than father/daughter relationships. Now maybe that’s just the way it is for me, maybe I’m a terrible person for not being that close to my dad, I don’t know. Also, because Emma and Mary knew each other before they’re going to have a better base for starting a new relationship, and I think when Emma interacts with her dad she’ll mainly be just trying to get to know him a little better.
I actually think it’s gonna be weirder for Emma to adjust to to Mary Margaret going all mom on her. It’s nice that they became friends right away and that they got so close but it’s a friends kind of close. Imagine your best friend now trying to act like your parent? Wouldn’t that process be a little jarring? let alone in their case since they look the same age! Emma was actually the one giving advice to her mom early on, trying to save her from Regina’s frame up job even rescuing her from Jefferson. Now that Snow knows who she is she’ll probably want to take up that role as a mom supporting her daughter but how’s that gonna work going from that prior situation? Especially with Emma’s personality being really independent and not wanting to rely on anyone.
