So, based on the seer’s prophesy, Rumple made a vow to kill the boy who would be his undoing, but that was long before he knew it’d be Henry. Will Rumple avoid killing his own boy’s son? Now with Cora and Regina plotting to use the dagger to control the Dark One to gain sole custody of Henry, that plan could very possibly lead to Rumple’s undoing. Will Rumple be able to avoid such a tragic fate? Is there more to Henry than meets the eye? Henry is the son of the savior, and so could have untapped powers of his own. The rest of the season is going to be thrilling!

It may not be literal. I think it means the boy(henry) will be responsible for the undoing of his curse as the dark one, or something along those lines…. I think that’s what the “separate from what can be to what will be” line may have meant.

I wonder if Rumpelstiltskin was planning on killing Henry as soon as he learned who he was. He knew that Henry was the one to lead him out in this episode. He said so himself–and he must have known beforehand.

As for how, it is hard for me to believe that Henry would be capable of turning dark. He has been the one that helped Emma bring back happy endings to everyone before the curse broke. He brought Emma to Storybrooke.

It could be that Rumpelstiltskin will sacrifice himself for Henry, but the way the Seer described it–or didn’t describe it–make sit seem like something almost sinister. I know some people keep saying that Henry will be the new Dark One, but that is honestly hard to see.

I also had the impression that Henry could be the one to undo Rumple’s curse. I suppose on the grim side it could also be that Henry is the reason Regina is teaming up with Cora to go after Rumple’s dagger. I can’t imagine that Rumple would still try to kill him knowing tha Henry is Bae’s son. That would permanently destroy his relationship with Bae.

Excellent point! If Rumple learned anything from the seer, hopefully it’s to separate the “will-be’s” from the “can-be’s.” When he heard that his son would be fatherless, Rumple assumed it’d be from his own death on the battlefield and so injured himself, which as we known set into motion Rumple becoming the Dark One and him losing Baelfire. The wording “undoing” could be a happy fate, rather than a sad fate, if like you theorized, Henry could lead to the undoing of the Dark One’s curse, rather than Rumple’s death.

What if it’s NOT Henry. The seer wasn’t specific, just like she was vague on the details the first time around. It’s possible that it’s not Henry.

The Seer was very nonspecific in all her prophecies, leaving out those pesky details. Gold may think it’s Henry but that may not be what she saw!

I don’t think Henry would do anything to hurt Gold intentionally. I don’t think Gold will do anything to hurt Henry, now knowing he’s his own grandson. In fact, I think Gold would sacrifice himself for Henry (not just because they’re related, but that he would easily do that for Bae if the event called for it).

I think Rumple knows that if he hurts Henry he will lose EVERYTHING: Bae, Belle, and now his grandson. I don’t think he’ll hurt Henry and by NOT hurting Henry, he and Bae will start down a road toward recovery.
