Has anyone thought the reason they know each other is because August and Neal are members of the lost boys from Peter Pan?? Maybe Neal and Peter Pan are one and the same. Maybe they both also know Smee too. Neal did say he knew how to navigate a ship and he also told Emma he had stopped in different world’s otherwise he’d be hundreds of years old.

NealFire Pan is a VERY popular theory. But how could August be in Neverland? He was a wooden boy, went through the wardrobe, and then spent his life here in the our world.

Do we know for a fact that he stayed in our world? He took the money that Neal left along with the car keys for Emma. August went to Phuket or so he says… he’s Pinnochio and a chronic liar. Maybe him Neal and Emma were in the same orphanage.

Nothing is outside the realm of possibility. Nothing. But the question then is how did August get to other lands? He’s not a realm jumper, he doesn’t have a hat or a bean (that we know of…though there is a very popular theory that he and Jefferson know each other…)
As for the orphanage: I’ve often wondered if NealFire wasn’t one of the older kids at the orphanage because he would have come through to our world at the age of 14 (after being in Neverland for 200+ years) and would have had to be in care for at least 4 years until he was 18. So that’s possible and it would make Neal’s connection to Emma even stronger.

Well it is also unknown how Neal jumped worlds too. He only said this world was not his first stop. Which makes the Neal, August and Jefferson connection plausible.

I love the orphanage trio theory, could be possible…and I would love to see a Little Emma with Little Baelfire (THE FEELS!!)…But I think what will probably happen is Blue Fairy told August about Baelfire… Hopefully we will get some clues in the “selfless, brave and true” episode…but I think we will not get a definite answer until next season… 😥

If Nealfire first jumped to Neverland, that’s a land with magic, so it’s entirely possible that he found another means to realm jump. Pinocchio came to the land without magic, so it’s highly unlikely that he alone could find a way to realm jump.

I suppose if Nealfire was jumping back and forth between our world and Neverland, he could have run into August at some point, but then, there was no apparent recognition when Nealfire saw August. Granted, people change as they grow up, but even if you last saw someone as a tween, then see them again as an adult, there’s a similarity you can recognise them by, and if we’re assuming these two were Lost Boys together, that means they would have known each other reasonably well, so Nealfire should have recognised August, but I got the impression that they were complete strangers prior to the events in Tallahassee.

I don’t think August spent time in Neverland.
He seemed to age normally, timeline – wise and him and Neal didn’t seem to know each other.
If they had been together in Neverland -going through something like that with someone – you’d remember them.

BF could have told August/Pinocchio about Bae/Neal, but she didn’t have her memories after the curse so it would’ve had to be before the curse.

I still think August knew Jefferson and Jefferson knew Bae/Neal and that’s the connection.
    Jefferson told August about Bae/Neal.

I think Gypsy is right. It’s very possible that NealFire Pan has been moving between not only Neverland and our world but Neverland and other worlds, like Wonderland. We know Jefferson was in Wonderland leading up to the Curse, so it’s possible that he met NealFire there. Also, they are both realm jumpers (we assume), so it’s also possible that Jefferson met Nealfire in another land before he gave up traveling.
At some point they’ve got to establish a August and Jefferson connection.
Adam and Eddy have said that we won’t know how August knew Neal was Bae this season, and that may have something to do with how busy Sebastian Stan is.
I still really want the Blue Fairy to be involved somehow.

There are deleted scenes (I believe on the S1 DVD set…??) showing August at Jefferson’s house.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I think they were actually still shots, not scenes 🙂
