I really like ABC’s new show MOTIVE 9pm on THURSDAY. What shows are you watching during the summer hiatus?

I’m re-watching Sliders on Netflix with my boyfriend. We are almost done with season two. I watched a bit when it was actually on. Never occurred to me that there was a lot drama behind the scenes, and that’s why the series becomes so disjointed later on. Basically, it’s one long fanfic, a lot of alternate universes and what ifs.

My boyfriend asked my jokingly after we finished watching Lost, if we could continue watching Farscape and I had a laughing meltdown because I loved Farscape, but now, I think I just feel indifferent towards it. There is one episode he never watched and I’m like, ‘Trust me. You’re not missing much. If anything, it’ll scar you for life.”

My Netflix instant queue has been woefully neglected for the past few months because OUAT took up all my time.

Right now I’m watching Hemlock Grove (very weird but very good. Freya Tingly, who played Wendy in SSTR, is in it).

I just finished rewatching Fringe. Still excellent.

I liked the show Motive, too. I was kind of surprised because I usually don’t care for crime dramas anymore. There are too many and they all blur together. But that one is sort of different. I like how they reveal the killer and how the case proceeds.

I never got into Grimm, either, because of the crime drama aspect to it. I’m addicted to that, too, now. I’m currently catching up with season one on Netflix. I never watched it last year and only got into it when it came back for the second half of the season this spring. They did a split season and I liked how they showed a whole run of episodes together. I really wish Ouat would do that. We’ll have a longer wait, but then we’d have a run of 11 episodes together instead of the disjointed schedule of last year.

From what I am reading in the TV blogs… you may get your wish.. OUaT is suppose to run in two segments next year… 11 & 11 episodes.

I like what they are doing with MOTIVE… showing repeats on Friday / Saturday nights so if you missed the first run you can catch it then. I wish they would do that with OUaT… I think we would pick up viewers that way.

Yes, that is how OUAT is running next year. It will be 22 episodes broken over a two segment period, fall and spring, with a three month break for winter and the Olympics. There probably only be one hiatus in the fall block, and none in the spring.
