So I caught wind of a pretty amazing art show that opened today in town- all of the artists had created new movie poster prints for several different Disney movies. There were a few portraits as well, but the vast majority were screen printed poster style images. Most of the movies were animated classics, but a few live action and all-but-forgotten gems were included as well. Some people stood in line for days waiting to get their hands on some of these prints- I was lucky enough to only wait a few hours, haha.

I managed to get a Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and Sword in the Stone print, as well as a second Snow White  for my friend’s upcoming birthday.

Here’s a link with most (if not all) of the images from the show:

I’m super happy with my posters- now I just have to find a place to put them… (and they’re running a Marvel show next month… oh dear…)

The Alice in Wonderland one was SO INTENSE. In person, those pinks were so vivid- I didn’t think I could pull it off anywhere in my apartment, haha. I did really love the way the artist used blacks. I did snag the show’s postcard that featured the Alice in Wonderland picture, so I have a mini version.
