“Once Upon a Time” has cast actor Faran Tahir as Captain Nemo, the hardened leader of the Nautilus submarine who has an interesting connection to Captain Hook. Tahir will appear in Episode 6 and his mythology will merge with Captain Hook’s, it was recently revealed.
In a chat with International Business Times India, Tahir opened up on his role as Captain Nemo and about his character’s connection to Storybrooke’s Hook.
International Business Times: Congrats on OUAT. How does it feel to be a part of OUAT? What can you tell us about your role as Captain Nemo?
Faran Tahir: Thank you! It feels absolutely great. Captain Nemo is a legendary literary character. Although it was originally written as a man of South Asian descent it is hardly ever cast that way, with the exception of Naseeruddin Shah in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I am excited to take on the challenge.
