There’re so, so many “what ifs” when it comes to OAUT that its not even funny.
For me, one if those burning “what ifs” is how things would play out if Baelfire stayed with is Papa.
Obviously Henry wouldn’t exists. But beyond that, I think things would be grimmer for Bae than they are now.
Two Scenario come to mind; A) Bae stays and tries to make the best of things but all the evil things Rumple does topped with the extreme isolation would leave him feeling utterly hopeless till one day he can’t take anymore and ends his life. B) he gives in to Rumple/The Dark one’s way of doing things. It wouldn’t be long till his father expects him to become his apprentice in magical arts. Baelfire, being the obedient and respectful boy that he was would learn the art to keep the peace. But in doing so would become Corrupted by its lure and would be just like Regina (hating and wanting to eliminate his Father). However The flesh and blood bond would only make things more horrible and complex in this case[adrotate group="5"]June 3, 2013 at 11:11 pm #197125RumplesGirlKeymasterI can’t see Bae giving in to the darkness, he was too horrified by all of it. I think he would have run away eventually, without Rumple.

Rumpel only needed the curse to get to our land. So the Evil Queen would need to get her revenge against Snow a different way and most likely, Emma would have grown up a princess. But in typical Emma fashion, she probably would have hated parts of it.

Actually, Rumple might’ve never approached Cora, who’d have been killed by the greedy king, never to give birth to Regina or kill Snow’s mother. Snow, on the other hand, might’ve never met Charming, since she did so while being an outlaw, so no Emma at all! 🙂

And with that excellent idea, we return to the idea that there is a puppet master controlling everything.

😆 Sneaky Fairy will always be Sneaky Fairy. And I do hope she’s apart of it but I’m thinking that she is PP’s lacky.

If Henry is the key to Rumple’s undoing then that could be the reason that Peter Pan is searching for Henry. This could all have been part of Blue’s master plan to be rid of the Dark One’s power.

June 5, 2013 at 4:09 pm #197324RumplesGirlKeymasterThe list of things that would never have happened had Bae stayed is staggering. His departure from FTL is the impetus for everything. Think about: let’s say Bae stay with his papa. The Rumple has no need of the Curse so:
–he never meets Cora
–Cora never marries the Prince
–Regina is never born, or at least not born to Cora and Henry Sr.
–Cora never kills Ava
–Regina and Snow are never enemies
–Snow never looses her mother, the King never remarries
–Snow is never driven out into the forest where she meets Charming
–George never looses James trying to get gold from Midas
–Snow and Charming never marry because David would still be a farmer
–Emma is never born
–Henry is never bornBae leaving FTL is the most signifcent event to happen in FTL. And because of that fact, someone is behind it, someone is manipulating everything for their end goal: Henry. So PP has been planning this for a long long long long time. And he’s got helpers: The Lost Ones who check each new boy who comes to NL, Tink who is probably his second in command, and in my mind, Blue who works for PP, making sure everything happens according to plan in FTL.
