I don’t know. Zelena sent him ahead. Don’t really know about the specifics but I’m sure she found a way to make it happen.
Magic slippers, lol. I have an awkward image in my head now if Walsh wearing the magic slippers, like Rumple cross-dressing wearing that magic slippers.

Time to hide your crazy, and start acting like a lady.
April 24, 2014 at 5:27 pm #263615obisgirlParticipantMaybe. Maybe monkeys can fly between realms the same way mermaids can swim between them too. Interesting thought.

Also, random…how does he turn back and forth? He was turned by Zelena…Anyway. I agree that loosing Philip would be repetitive for Aurora.
There are just quite a few number of people that we’re pretty sure it can’t be but the options for CAN also look wonky."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 24, 2014 at 10:05 pm #263685enchantedfanParticipantHave we seen Mulan? I’m wondering if it was Aurora who cast the curse, using Mulan’s heart. Very, very preposterous…… IF!!!
Perhaps Aurora secretly reciprocated Mulan’s love even though Aurora loved Philip as well. With the threat of Zelena harming their baby, Aurora was desperate to protect her unborn child at whatever cost.

April 24, 2014 at 10:09 pm #263687obisgirlParticipantThere was a flying monkey present last episode when Zelena was getting dressed for her dinner with Rumple. That was Walsh wasn’t it?

Yup.
As far as the JR being able to be used as a sacrifice, I do actually think he loved it on its own merit. The association he gave it with Emma may well have amplified it, and allowed for them to show how he does essentially think of the ship as a person, but there was already a relationship of a couple hundred years there between Hook and the JR. It was his home, his constant companion even through the losses of Liam and Milah, so I think he loved it plenty, even pre-Emma.
They showed that he valued the ship above the lives of actual people, so I think it would be quite a powerful statement for how much he wanted to get back to Emma if he turns around and actually sacrifices the JR in the end, so he can cast the Curse.
Hook has his memories, which is a trait of the Curse caster. He thought it would allow him to be with Emma, but now he’s finding out it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, just like Regina quickly realised when she cast the Curse.
I think Phillip dying again would feel to repetitive.
Repetitive, bold, po-tay-toe, po-tah-to, these writers are not adverse to repetitively killing someone.
But Philora aren’t major enough players for there to be any real impact. Magic has a price, and we have to see the Curse caster suffer the consequences of that action. We haven’t seen even a hint of what either of Philora are up to in present day, and if one of them cast the Curse, their aftermath is a thing we’d have been shown by now.
Hook currently seems to be suffering through the aftermath of having cast a Curse.

Right, but the sword isn’t actually courage. It’s the season of talismans; Regina’s line in 314 about how powerful they are can play into both Zelena’s curse and the Dark Curse if they choose to go that route. The Jolly Roger isn’t just a ship. She has been infused with love because she’s a giant metaphor (according to 317) for Emma and Hook’s love for her. She can be sacrificed as a stand in for a heart because the writers love themselves some loopholes. You’re supposed to sacrifice the heart of the THING (they never said it HAS to be a person…but THING) you love most. Peter Pan didn’t love Felix at all (loophole); Hook does love the ship and what it has come to represent (Emma) (loophole.)
I’m not saying it’s exactly what is going to happen but the lack of internal set logic on the show allows for the very real possibility.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 25, 2014 at 9:39 am #263725obisgirlParticipantMaybe but I’d still like if they stick to the human heart sacrifice rule but I do like the idea of Killian trading his old home for a new one with Emma.
