If Rumpel is able to see into the future (like knowing about the outcome of the dark curse) why could he not see the outcome of his relationship with Belle?
Good question. I don’t think Rumpel can see the future.
Thank you! But Rumpel seemed to know that snow whites arrow would hit david, and he says he is invested in snow’s future. Maybe he just gets unclear, hazy notions of what the future holds.
I think that Rumpel just knows how the arrow works. That it will give Snow what she needs and hit Charming. That doesn’t require knowing the future in my opinion.
Ah good point
Maybe he can’t see everything, just certain moments.
He can’t see the future IMO. He decides what he wants to happen, tells people it’s gonna happen, then manipulates them into whatever positions they need to be in to make it happen. End result is it looks like he predicted it when in fact he just engineered the whole situation.
He knew the arrow would hit David because he gave them both the same map, told them both where to go, and I believe that was Cupid’s bow and arrow, so it he knew Snow was destined to shoot Charming with it.
He said he was invested in Snow’s future because he was setting her and Charming up to give him the ingredients to make love, so he could then include their love (ie: Emma) as the antidote to the curse he was planning on creating.
End result is it looks like he predicted it when in fact he just engineered the whole situation.
I like this idea a lot Phee, but it still does not explain how Rumpel could have known the exact day Emma would return on her 28th birthday.
Well, he could have controlled some threads to make it happen. Somehow get the book to MM, keeping track of how Henry was doing, etc. Rumpel did look like he was just making that number up as he told Snow about it …
Ohhh I think your right! MM did mention she had recently gotten the book (probably planted by Rumpel). Rumpels so sneaky 😉
