I think when the curse is broken, everyone will remember who they are meant to be but they will still be stuck in Storybrooke hence the episode title “a land without magic”
That actually makes semse. But, you’d think they would be releaved that magic didn’t exist in this world. They’ve seen what magic can do when it falls into the wrong hands.
I think they would have to adjust to not being able to use magic especially the fairies/nuns. Magic can be good or evil depending on who’s using it.

Which is why everything in Storybrooke is messed up. 🙂
April 29, 2012 at 8:04 pm #144634killianhookfanParticipantI just had a weird thought. If the curse is broken and FTL no longer exists, and SB only came into existence due to the curse – does that mean that SB will cease to exist when the curse is broken?
For that matter, in the real world – the world that now SB exists in (and by real world I mean the world we all live in, the same world where Boston is 😆 ) – Fairy Tale characters don’t really exist. So, if the curse is broken in the real world – can the Fairy Tale characters even exist anymore? If they can’t go back to FTL because it was destroyed, where would they go?
I know this seems weird, but it also struck me as a very LOST way of thinking. Like maybe if the curse was broken, SB would cease to exist and the characters would suddenly end up torn apart from each other and spread all over the place, knowing who they are but not knowing how to find their way back to each other. So suddenly Mr. Gold wouldn’t be the only one searching for someone he loves – ALL of the characters would be searching for people they love. You could have David in LA, MM in Ohio, Leroy in Florida, etc. Technically they would all be able to get their happy endings – but would their happy endings still be what they were before the curse. Ex. MM could meet some really great guy in Ohio that has never accused her of being a murderer and gives her the correct Valentine’s Day card. Maybe she decides that is really her happy ending.
April 29, 2012 at 8:14 pm #144636celesstarrParticipantrumplegoldfan, that is a VERY interesting theory, I LOVE it…although I prefer everyone stay in SB or the same place just cause I think the storylines would be more interesting if everyone stayed together.
April 29, 2012 at 8:15 pm #144637dream_drop_distanceParticipantThat’s a unique idea. But if MM falls for another guy, wouldn’t SW+PC supporters revolt? I know I would. Though I like the idea of everyone ending up somewhere else when the curse breaks. That also would say that if the curse does break during the show, then the show wouldn’t end, because they would all be confused as to why they are where they are, correct? I mean, it’s a great idea, but I don’t know the chances of it actually happening…
April 29, 2012 at 8:33 pm #144639killianhookfanParticipantI don’t necessarily mean that MM would end up permanantly with some other person. But I was just thinking about what will happen to the show if they end up breaking the curse early on. And then I got to thinking that it is, of course, the LOST folks we are talking about so you can’t think like normal people (I mean that in a good way, of course 😀 ).
It would be just like them to give us what we want for a brief moment and then snatch it away – only to kind of start everything all over again but in a slightly different way. So you would have MM and David still searching for each other but real life would get in the way and they would both meet other people. So in the end they could let the Fairy Tale characters choose their fate in modern times. Would Snow still choose Charming if she met some some other great guy that wasn’t an option in FTL? Is Regina always going to be raging witch or if she gets out on her own away from all the FTL folks would she be a different person? What if she met someone who didn’t know who she was and wasn’t ever affected by the curse? Could someone fall in love with her? Would she be able to fall in love with someone again outside of FTL and outside of the curse?
April 30, 2012 at 2:42 am #144685dream_drop_distanceParticipantI thought that Regina had completely given up on love? Because of You-know-who (Warning: Harry Potter reference), not Voldemort. So, I doubt that EQ could fall for another guy, really, unless it was for her own twisted ways.
I'm just gonna nerd out for a sec and say (feel free to not even read this, unless you’re a HP fan) what if Voldy and Regina met? 😯 It would be like my dreams were recognized…
April 30, 2012 at 3:09 am #144700JosephineParticipantI’m sorry, but Voldemort would zap Regina immediately. He’d have no use for her. He’d Avada Kedavra her butt before she could even open her mouth.
Didn’t they already give us MM and David together before snatching it away? It would get repetative if they keep that up. I think it would be more interesting to find out what happens after “happily ever after” than breaking them up to go with other people just to reunite them later on. To me, that would be lazy writing.

Oh yeah. And the biggest difference is that Voldy is truly evil, he never felt love, whereas Regina does know what love is. And as MM pointed out again, she’s in pain and her heart might be filled with darkness, but it has it’s reasons. Voldy didn’t really have reason, beside thinking he was the greatest …
@rumpelgoldfan: Interesting thought, but I hope they won’t do that. That’s just too soap opera-like …
