IGN 11/10 – Elliot Knight on Merlin's Humanity and Unexpected Twists

Once Upon a Time finally peered into the origin of Merlin in Sunday’s episode “Nimue,” revealing that the first Dark One was none other than the woman Merlin fell in love with. That revelation sets up a big two-hour special for the series, airing on November 15th, which will delve into what Emma did in Camelot.

After Merlin’s big backstory episode, I hopped on the phone with Elliot Knight to talk about what we learned about his character. He also opened up about whether Merlin has more going on than is apparent, and whether he’ll be sticking around past the midseason finale. Even better, he promises a “lot of twists and turns, a lot of which are unexpected,” in the upcoming two-hour special.
