Okay first I want to say I love the show and I have been listening for a very long time. Well, just before season 1 ended anyway, but I went back and listened to every episode. You guys are absolutely amazing and your community is great to say the least. Now I’ve been toying around with a theory in my head and wanted to share it. I know the odds of this being right are very slim but I think it would be fun if it were true. Before you read I want us all to remember that was briefly glanced over the King Arthur story when we met Lancelot. Okay now you can read my theory.
Now stay with me here because this is far out there idea.
We know time in Neverland is very different, it might even come to a near standstill or at the very least it keeps people from aging. So Bae is a relatively young boy, let’s say 13-14, maybe even “technically” younger. I’m thinking Neal was in his 20s, let’s say 22 just to save some time, when he met Emma. So there are several years of aging to work with here.
Imagine if Bae escapes from Neverland after spending “A really long time” there, but he doesn’t go back to our world, he goes back to the Enchanted Forest several years prior to the curse. Maybe even around the time Hook returns.
He realizes where he is so he changes his name to hide from his father who he has hated for “A really long time.” He goes by the name Arthur, farfetched but this is a Disney movie too. He finds the sword in the stone and pulls it out, and then he meets Merlin and becomes King of Camelot, later forming the Knights of the Round Table. Now I know the timeline is a stretch but if you take the most recent rendition of the Arthur story into account the whole story was stuffed into 5 seasons which were roughly 5 years give or take.
So he becomes king and he gets his Guinevere, she cheats on him with Lancelot, which causes Arthur to banish him. Morgan Le Fay was Arthur and Merlin’s arch enemy. So at the end of his reign as king he is in a massive battle just like in the story, and Morgan cuts him and he is mortally wounded because the sword has been cursed. In a final act he defeats Morgan Le Fay and she vanishes. Merlin takes Arthur (Bae) to Avalon where he is told by the lady of the lake (Just a random character idea) that the only way to save him is to send him to a world without magic. So Merlin sends Bae to our world in final effort to save his life.
Once in our world his life is saved and he is now, say 20ish years old. He is in recovery at the hospital and he sees a man dying, he sneaks out of the hospital after taking the man’s wallet, the dead man’s name is Neal Cassidy.
We find out later that Morgan Le Fay was working with Peter Pan, attempting to stop Mordred from being born by killing Arthur (Bae). In this version of the story let’s say Mordred is the destroyer of magic.
Morgan Le Fay realizes too late, since he has already escaped, that Bae is actually the future father of Mordred, and she follows Bae’s trail to the enchanted forest, but by now he is protected by Merlin.
So now this gives us the potential to not only have Peter Pan as a villain in the coming story, trying to kill Henry, but Morgan Le Fay too because she thinks he is the prophesied destroyer of magic. When they finally have him, they decided to brainwash him turning him into their own version of Mordred and instead of becoming a destroyer of magic they teach him magic and make him a weapon for their use, a kind of evil savior of magic.[adrotate group="5"]May 25, 2013 at 9:07 pm #196103RumplesGirlKeymasterI think this is really creative! I’m wondering about the timeline issues however.
Bae was about 14 when he came to our world for the second time and stayed here (we think). This was about in 1991. In the episode Tallahassee, we see his birth date was 1977. If he came here at the age of 14 and claimed to have been born in 1977, then he came here in 1991, a few years after the Curse. He met Emma in 2001 when he was about 24, making him 34 now. If Bae had gone back to the EF at any point, he would have started aging again and thus would be a lot older. Also, how did he escape from Neverland?
I do hope we get more Arthurian legend in our show but it might be best to save until after adventures in NL to prevent it from becoming too complex."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 25, 2013 at 9:19 pm #196104DemiletoParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

It doesn’t even have to be specifically on OUAT anymore now that we have a sister show… 😉
May 25, 2013 at 9:33 pm #196105RumplesGirlKeymasterThat’s very true. If some of the plot revolves around Alice traveling to different lands with Cyrus, we could see a lot of things that would have detracted from the main drive of OUAT.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 28, 2013 at 8:10 am #196392neilfromkentuckyParticipantThanks for the welcome, do we have confirmation in an episode of Bae getting back to our world at that age? If not then in my “version, since I know there is no way it will happen,” of the story he came back to our world between the ages of 18 and 24, give or take a year. This would give him enough time to become familiar with our world as it is but also leave him. I mean how hard is it to master the 20th century in a couple of years 😆
Anyway I just think it would be fun and add room for more flashbacks of a different part of the Enchanted Forest. Plus Morgan Le Fay would make a fun villain. She could even be another one of Rumple’s pupils.
We still have a very long time frame in RumpRumps past that hasn’t been covered as far as I know. What if Morgan is a dark fairy who may have been influenced to go bad by Rumple. Oh Oh oh line break for random thought. 😀
Imagine that Morgan is in love with a human, Merlin and they are having a relationship behind Blue Fairy’s back similar to what we saw with Dreamy and what’s her face that played Fred on Angel and was way more awesome in that. This affair is discovered by Blue Fairy who goes to Merlin, similar to the Dreamy story, and tells him he must end the relationship. Not wanting to stand in the way of her future Merlin decides to do as Blue asks. He confronts Morgan and explains why he is doing what he is doing. She is angered and really hurt by Merlin’s decision and flies away. Not wanting to return to the fairies out of anger she is crying somewhere in the enchanted forest when she is approached by none other then the Dark One, using his powers of manipulation and word-smithing, Rumple convinces Morgan that she is being betrayed by the Blue Fairy. No true good can come from standing in the way of true love. Rumple convinces Morgan that there is a way she can get her revenge on the Blue Fairy, with the wand of another Fairy her magic could be multiplied. He just so happens to have a wand for just this purpose and he conjures the Fairy Godmother’s wand. With this specific wand Morgan attacks the fairies, killing many of them. There is then a MUCH NEEDED BATTLE (Seriously this has been needing to happen) between Blue Fairy and Morgan Le Fey. The Blue Fairy does not have time to react to the situation with words and is forced to defend herself. In an attempt to escape, Blue Fairy descends to the Enchanted Forest, or maybe an attack makes her fall, but just as Morgan is about to land the killing blow, Merlin comes through the forest yelling for her to stop! Blue Fairy is knocked out at this point and unable to defend herself. Morgan tries to explain what is happening but she is filled with such rage that it isn’t making any sense to Merlin. Merlin then stands between Morgan and Blue Fairy in an effort to stop her from landing a killing strike. In a fit of blind rage and a sudden sense of betrayal(And maybe a couple black spots on her heart), Morgan attempts to attack Merlin, just as this happens, Blue Fairy grabs Merlin’s leg, and sends a surge through his body, awaking his magic potential and we get a shot similar to the “good magic” projection that Emma can do, and it sends Morgan flying backwards into a tree. Now with Blue Fairy channeling her thoughts through Merlin he is temporarily at full Merlin strength. She gets up and attempts to attack Merlin again and much to his own surprise and hers, he deflects the attacks.
Betrayed and broken Morgan retreats, cursing Merlin for his betrayal. This builds the hate that only grows between them over the years.
Now here is where is throw a curve ball.(You’re probably thinking again????)After Morgan is gone, Blue lets Merlin’s leg go and he collapses. She brings Merlin back the fairy home, Avalon. She then explains to him how he had all the power. She explains that there must always be a balance, and where there is a dark one, there also must be a light one. She explains that she wanted to give Merlin a little more time as a normal boy before engaging him with his new responsibilities. She presents him with a staff, this staff is the equivalent to the dark one’s dagger. When he takes the staff he is changed visually similar to Rump, but more angelic less crocodile. With his new found abilities Blue tasks Merlin to help bring balance to the Enchanted Forest. She tells a kingdom much arise bring order and justice.
Merlin then leaves to make preparations.
We find out at a future point that Merlin acquired the Seers future seeing ability at the exact same moment as Rumple through the power of the great balance, and while Rumple saw his set of events, Merlin saw a completely different set of events. He saw Bae returning to the Enchanted forest and becoming a great leader.
To amend my original story a bit. Lets go back to Merlin attempting to send Arthur through the portal to our world. Merlin is confronted by the Dark One and wounded in a super duper epic fight(We hope) Merlin falls through the portal with Arthur, and shortly after died from his wounds, Rumple now has no opposition and he has Merlin’s staff.
With the balance broken and the light one effectively gone from our world, the Blue Fairy begins to search for the new light one, but can not manage to find him anywhere. This is because he has not been born yet.
This is where I amend my original story further and say that Henry is the new light one. But since he was taken by Tamara and Greg to Neverland he will be twisted by Morgan Le Fey and Peter Pan and will temporarily be an enemy to the Scooby Doo team. But then after some time has passed in the season and Rumple realizes that Henry is indeed the light one, he presents him with his cane, which is actually Merlin’s staff. This breaks Morgan’s hold on Henry and shows a moment of true love from Rumple to Henry, breaking Rumple’s curse as the Dark One. Henry Defeats Morgan with ease and she escapes, but not without “somehow” getting the dagger from Rumple. I’ll let better writers figure that one out.
Henry will then have the abilities of Merlin and be able to open a portal back to Storybrooke. Then we will get some nefarious music and find out Morgan Le Fey has been changed into the new dark one, to keep the balance.
That’s the end of this off the top of my head theory/random thought. Sorry it was so long…

Don’t know if this is exactly confirmation, but, the fact that there was a wanted poster with Neal’s stats on it means he had to have been arrested in our wolrd at least once before….otherwise, how would they have his stats?
Regardless of how old he was when he came to our wolrd and got arrested the first time, his age would have to match up, so given that his DOB was stated as 1977, the only way for him not to have aged for centuries would be for him to have been in Neverland for the better part of his life.Your theory is interesting, though.
Maybe you should turn it into a fan fic 🙂May 29, 2013 at 12:59 pm #196471neilfromkentuckyParticipantI wish I was creative enough to write fan fiction lol… I’m just the general story guy, I’m terrible with all other things, especially dialog, I’m soooo bad with dialog lol
