I know we’ve been inside the Mausoleum in the past, but I had a thought: I think, the Mills’ family the Mausoleum could come into play next episode: We know Regina has lots of hearts down there and they belong to various random people, but what if at some point, Cora made it back to fairytale world and put her heart in the family mausoleum?
And if Cora's heart is in the Mausoleum, which is in Storybrooke, all Regina or Snow would need to do is locate it, crush it and Cora problem solved.

Snow White said in this episode that Regina’s family mausoleum was “untouched” (which isn’t technically true since Regina’s father is probably buried there, as was Daniel’s body). Yet, it could just have been a foreshadowing that Cora’s body would soon rest there, too. Whether Cora’s heart is in Regina’s heart vault or somewhere else remains to be foreseen. I don’t believe Cora would have left her heart with Regina in the EF, since Regina wanted her mother dead when she sent Captain Hook to assassinate the Queen of Hearts. Prior to traveling with Hook back to the EF, I don’t believe Cora had been out of Wonderland since Regina pushed her through the mirror. Plus, Cora told Hook prior to then she didn’t have her heart in her. In the first part of season two, we saw Cora did have her own traveling heart vault in the remanent of the EF, which I believe she may have brought with her on the journey to SB. It could have been on Hook’s ship, from which Cora wanted to retrieve her important items (such as her own heart). Maybe she then added her heart to the family mausoleum thinking Regina was now her ally.

Did I miss something ? Where did you see that ?
March 6, 2013 at 8:10 pm #177659SlurpeezParticipantIt was in the first part of season two in the remanent of the EF that survived the curse. Cora had her own traveling heart vault in Into the Deep, which she used to create a legion of zombies by controlling their hearts. Cora may have kept her own heart in this vault, which I believe she may have brought with her on the journey to SB. It could have been on Hook’s ship, from which Cora wanted to retrieve her important items (such as her own heart) in Tiny. Maybe Cora then added her heart to the family mausoleum thinking Regina was now her ally.

She was seen with her own traveling heart vault back in “Into the Deep”, during the Present Day.

I like that theory.

The boxes she finds have the glowing red cross on them & in one of the shots, there's a wall of little alcove type shelves in the background, which I'm pretty sure is in Regina's underground lair. Methinks Cora's heart is in one of the boxes in that vault. It may even be the only active heart left in there, if the rest got used for zombies.

That makes sense. However what if it isn't Cora's heart, but a decoy? Who is the innocent that Mary Margaret going to end up killing thinking she has destroyed Cora?
And are we going to have Blue telling Snow that “If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.” Or do we need a Green Fairy for that???
