I really do not think Emma and Hook are ever going to trust each other enough to have any sort of relationship.
I think they have too much chemistry not to at least try. I think Emma can help Hook move past Milah and his revenge and that Hook can help Emma learn to forgive and trust again.
Also, I know this may not matter a whole lot, but Adam and Eddy will never hear the end of it if they don’t give CaptainSwan at least a few episodes.
Oh I am sure you are right, but they can do that without putting them in a relationship. I just really do not see that happening. I really hope it does not happen.

Maybe Tamara cast a spell on the scarf (remember rumpelstiltskins enchanted scarf)March 25, 2013 at 5:32 pm #182200lilysmomParticipantI really do not think that she has magic yet and if that were true, he would always have to be wearing that scarf which I dont think he does.
March 25, 2013 at 5:36 pm #182204rapunzel_is_a_gingerParticipantThe scarf he gave Tamara was green and gold — the one he wears all the time now looks like the blue one Bae had in the EF. Seems a bit odd to me that they would randomly change that detail. I know Tamara said she CALLED after he gave her the scarf, but did she actually say she returned it?

The writers send out a lot of mixed signals on Hook, Emma and Neal’s romantic futures. The show itself might be foreshadowing something, but it could be anything. They haven’t made anything clear yet, except that Tamara does not have true love for Neal.
Let’s assume for the moment, that what Neal feels for Tamara is not the result of magic or scientific manipulation. How is Neal going to react when he finds out about Tamara? Relieved that he can now be honest about still loving Emma, or is he going to feel like Emma in Manhattan when she was yelling about being played, hurt and heartbroken? If you assume some kind of manipulation, then he’d probably be relieved and happy to be free of the relationship. What state do the writers want Neal to be in? I think right now, they want him confused. When the Tamara arc plays out, I’m not sure where they want him to be. I don’t think they are going to put Emma with anyone this season in a definite Snow and Charming or even a Belle/Rumple type relationship that’s clearly marked as such for even the most casual viewer to get. So they may not ever reveal why Neal ended up with Tamara beyond what they have already shown, but we can guess from how he eventually ends up reacting when he finds out about her deception. Assuming he isn’t dead as a result of it! If the writers want an emotional gut punch, that would do it for me.

Agreed. I think it’s going to take Emma while to be in a Snowing or Rumbelle type relationship because of her abandonment and trust issues. She’s also got a pretty big job right as the Savior and learning how to be a mother to Henry.
As far as Neal goes: I’m hoping that within the first few episodes of S3 we get a scene where Neal tells Emma how long he waited for her, how much she meant to him, ect. Even if it doesn’t lead immediately to SwanFire, I think it’s a much needed moment.

Much as I hate what Tamara’s doing to him, I do like that it’s setting up that little parallel. The situations aren’t exactly the same, but he’ll be able to see where she was coming from when she felt like she’d been played like a pawn in their game, and it will give SwanFire a whole other level of understanding for each other.

Agreed, I think CaptainSwan have an interesting (and hot) dynamic, and a relationship between them would be a necessary stepping stone to deeper, more lasting relationships that both will have with others in the future.

I feel as if most people read way to much into he casual flirting that is hooks personality. He is like that with everybody not just Emma. Plus Emma trust no one and I don’t think she is going to start with that man who tried to kill her sons grandfather and helped bring Cora and all her evil to town. Just not going to happen.March 26, 2013 at 6:13 am #182340PheeParticipant@Jbwood5 wrote:

I think he sees something in Emma he hasn’t seen in all the other women he compulsively flirts with. I believe he’s genuinely drawn to her on some level, like he hasn’t been drawn to anyone since Milah. And I think that the fact they’ve shown Emma not trusting Hook up the beanstalk when she actually could have was a vital part in her struggle to learn to trust people. Emma still doesn’t have a huge amount of love for Rumple, she’s really only conceding to be on his team because of the familial connection she’s been forced to accept. Basically, I don’t think the situations surrounding Hook and Emma and everyone in between are black and white, it’s an emotionally complicated situation and I can see them drawn to each other in the midst of it. And I say all of this as someone who firmly believes that SwanFire is endgame.
