Is Ruby looking at the camera here in this capture? Looks like it. She says “Like, seriously…wow” when Rumple uses magic to pull back the mine cart carrying Belle; and then looks at the camera. The editor didn’t quite cut the scene fast enough.

Incidentally it also suggests that Ruby never met Rumple in the EF. She may have known of him…she is the one who informed Snow of a man who could help her forget about prince charming. But she never met him and seemed impressed by his display magic use, as if she never seen anything like that before.

Yea I agree with you. I don’t think she had ever seen him before or knew just how much he was capable of. I think she just had heard rumors of him and told Snow what she knew.

Granny had the cloak originally. She gave it to Ruby.

I think she is supposed to be looking at the mine cart Belle is in. Just looks like she’s looking into the camera.
