Where on earth was the Blue Fairy in that confrontation in the clock tower? All she did was wave around a magic wand in front of Mr. Gold’s pawn shop. (By the way, where did that wand come from? In 2×1, Mother Superior said the fairies didn’t have any wands, and I doubt Mr. Gold leant the BF his wand, given his hatred for her).
Something smells fishy to me. Could that have been Cora disguised as Mother Superior when David and Mary Margaret asked for her help to find the dagger? How many times has Cora disguised herself as the BF? Now when I’m re-watching season 1 I’m constantly going to be asking if she really is Cora disguised as the BF.

Excellent point! Thanks, that really does help alleviate some of my fears.

It’s definitely suspicious that she’d vanished by the time they were in the clock tower though.

I agree it’s very disconcerting that Cora can shape-shift into anyone. Can Rumple? We know he can disappear in a cloud of purple smoke. Can Regina share-shift into anyone? We’ve seen Regina disguise herself as a mouse in 1×2 when she visited Rumple in prison to discover how to cast the dark curse.

Cora had been banished to Wonderland by then, so the dark fairy must’ve been someone else (perhaps Maleficent).

Do you think the Blue Fairy is a fairy godmother patron for Snow’s family? Cinderella’s fairy-godmother was a patron to King George’s family. Maybe all royals have their own patron fairies.

March 4, 2013 at 7:18 pm #177021RumplesGirlKeymasterThis is what I found suspicious: when Blue and the Charmings were trying to get into Gold’s shop, Blue and her wand were totally ineffective. Shouldn’t the greatest good in the land be able to get past the dark magic of Rumple because the moral of this show is “good always wins.” For a Fairy who is supposed to be so powerful, she’s not exactly good at her job. She basically TOLD Rumple about the curse, then sat back and let it happen. All this leads me to Sneaky Fairy is Sneaky.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 4, 2013 at 8:01 pm #177039KebParticipantWell, we already know that magic in our world is a little unpredictable. It took Regina a little time to get her powers back after magic was returned, Gold said that it was behaving differently, and based on how Gold used the wand he had in the mines, they need fairy dust to fuel the wands. There’s been enough time for BF to have found her wand in some manner (though, yeah, it’d be nice to know how), but Gold and Regina took all the immediately available power from the mine when they were trying to keep Cora out of SB. So maybe BF doesn’t have her full power atm.
