I’m glad they didn’t try to play it that Greg didn’t know about Neal. The other day I posted that I didn’t think she could be Her because it would be too much of a stretch for me if she was leading a secret, double life in two states. But Greg knows she’s dodgy, so I find it easier to believe she’s the one he’s been talking to.
She said she’s “quite human” which doesn’t necessarily mean, “boring old human who has never been in or been connected to a magical land in any way, shape or form.”

All our characters (except the Fairy and Grumpy) are human, they just come from a different land, a land of magic. It’s not like they are a completely different species. I think her “quite human” means that she’s human right now, what you’re seeing is human. But I don’t think she was always human.
I think she was a Dark Fairy who somehow got trapped in our world and lost her magic and has been searching for a way to take it back ever since. And along the way she met Owen/Greg and heard his story and together the devised a plan. I think someone mentioned this a few pages back, but Greg Mendel (who takes his name from a very famous scientist) probably analyzed that magical liquid the Dragon gave August."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 25, 2013 at 12:38 pm #182113kfchimeraParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

I could see that, but is it just the two of them working together? I get the feeling she is calling the shots.

– other Disney creations, like Tiana (I haven’t seen Princess and the Frog so no clue what that one is about – is it an updated version of the Frog Prince? Kiss a Frog and he turns into a prince?)
Yes it is a rework of that story (based on a book ) but Disney specifically set it in 1920’s in New Orleans Louisiana. The magic in the story comes from 2 characters. There is Dr. Facillier an evil vodoo doctor and Mama Odie, a good bayou dweller who is something like 179 years old. Tamara could be a descendant of one of those characters.

March 25, 2013 at 1:05 pm #182124CrownedWithLaurelsParticipantI want to revisit the pictures from Greg’s phone in the midst of all this mess. Maybe we can get some clues now that we are looking at it with fresh eyes.

How is Tamara going to steal magic? How does one steal magic? Does she want the dagger? Is she like Cora? What kind of magic does she want?
Tamara may have been truthful about her being “quite human” right now, but it’s possible she was once a fairy, but was since banished to a land without magic. If she’s a disgraced fairy, I’m guessing she’d want the fairy dust. If she manages to get ahold of the wand in Mr. Gold’s pawn shop, we might see her use it to steal magic from the diamond mines the way Mr. Gold did in 2×9. Otherwise, maybe her taser can collect magic. If she’s not a fairy, I don’t think she discriminate about what kind of magic to steal, so dark magic would be just as sufficient as white magic.

She made it a point to say she bought the potion
That’s true. Maybe she doesn’t like being called a their. Possibly because she is a merry woman, one of Robin Hood’s followers. They technically stole from the rich, but only to give the money back to the poor. She may have that mentality that she’s stealing magic to “help others” but doesn’t like to call it stealing as a way to justify her actions.

Ahhhhh. And in the promo for the next few weeks we do see a shot of Rumple showing Henry a wand! What if a certain Tamara was standing outside? Or walked into the shop and saw the wand? She could even try to buy it, or strike a deal with Rumple, which at the very least would put her in Rumple's radar and make him aware that something is up with this chick.

Great speculation! Yes, I definitely think the wand is going to come into play, which is why it was featured in the promo. Also, that clip I mentioned in 2×9 of Mr. Gold stealing magic from the diamond mine is also featured in it.

March 25, 2013 at 1:45 pm #182130RumplesGirlKeymasterFrom one of the writers over at Once Upon a Fan: I think it’s a pretty solid theory.
http://www.onceuponatimefans.co.uk/apps/blog/show/25018492-tamara-s-family-ties
I think she is the daughter of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother but because of her mother’s death has gone Dark. It would fit with many of the themes of this season: family, revenge.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 25, 2013 at 2:09 pm #182133PheeParticipantIt would certainly fit the themes they’ve been playing with. But how does a photo of Tamara and her grandmother, clearly taken in our world, work into the theories of her being related to the Fairy Godmother?
March 25, 2013 at 3:04 pm #182140theoniongirlParticipantI posted this in another thread not long after the episode Sunday, but got not an once of reaction to it. See what you think:
“First, I freely admit I did not see the entire episode. (Restless little boys who should have been in bed … ). But I had a thought about this.
“I know a few people thought Tamara originally might be Tiana from the Princess and the Frog. What if her GRANDMOTHER was? I believe Tiana is/was the only Disney princess anchored in a concrete “real world” time and place … 1920s New Orleans … what if she somehow came over from FTL and built her life there, and her granddaughter (great-granddaughter would probably be closer) used to hear all these stories …
“Just an off the wall idea.”
