J.K. Rowling has written 4 new short stories all about the History of Magic in North America, the first of which is now available on Pottermore. Warner Brothers has also made a promo clip based on these short stories for the upcoming feature film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is going to be released on Nov. 18, 2016 (USA).

I am very intrigued to read about the wizarding world in North America, considering that’s where a lot of us reside. I’m especially excited to learn about Ilvermorny, the North American wizarding school.

I was looking at it today and the stuff she posted about the other magic schools. I wanted to tear up a bit, it’s like being a kid again. Its so interesting, I am going to stalk the pottermore site foot all the new information.
And I guarantee someone us going to name their child Ilvermony.

I’m hoping it will finally help me understand why I never got my owl!

(but yes, very excited to read all this and learn more about the HP world. I’m so glad JKR never really left that world.)

The second part, “Seventeenth Century and Beyond”, is up. Interesting stuff regarding the Salem Witch Trials and the Scourers.
