Jafar’s Carpet may be more than what it seems, I believe. When asking the rabbit to open a portal, he said he needed to get to a place his carpet cant take him. Perhaps a Land Without Magic? Even Fictional London may not have magic so he probably cant get there. Lets recall the lyrics to the song, A Whole New World:
Aladdin: A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no or where to go
Or say we’re only dreaming
Princess Jasmine: A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But now from way up here, it’s crystal clear
That now I’m in a whole new world with you
Now I’m in a whole new world with youIt could be implied through these lyrics that the carpet may literally be able to take you to new worlds. Once would do something like that.
Also, how did Jafar get the carpet? I notice its Red/Black instead of Blue/Gold like in the movie. Does that mean it didn’t come from The Cave Of Wonders? If so, how could he have gotten it since he wasn’t the “Diamond in the Rough”? These questions keep running through me. If the carpet can travel magical lands like the Hat, then that explains how Jafar got to WL from Agrabah. If not, then how? Because the carpet may be like Jeffs hat, unable to go to lands that don’t have magic. So he would need the rabbit. If the person she cared about was, say, in the EF. I think Jafar just would have taken the trip himself if the carpet can open portals. If carpets in Agrabah could go to lands without magic, im sure he would have made the trip over there for one
