When I saw this the other day I didn’t really put much stock in it, because of course they’d tell Jamie that she might have the chance to come back, whether they were actively working on a story for her or not.
Just now I saw a tumblr post where someone suggested Mulan and Marian, and I think that idea has potential. Marian likes Merry Men types, which Mulan was. Mulan likes headstrong damsel types, which Marian is. Not that I necessarily expect Marian to stick around much beyond her current arc, and not that I assume they have concrete plans to even bring Mulan back this season, but if they did, I reckon I could ship it.
I reckon I could ship it.
I maybe would be able to ship it too…. But I still wonder about Shang and where he would come in if at all. I mean I guess it doesn’t matter since Mulan must have already met him (since all this takes place after her ordeal with the army and all) and seeing as they aren’t together, it must not have worked out.

Well, is Mulan attracted to both men and women, or does she prefer women? When first we were introduced to Mulan, I thought she liked Philip, but she ended up caring for Aurora instead. If Mulan is only attracted to women, then I don’t see her ending up with Shang. If, however, she could go either way, then her true love being Shang would work. But if Mulan prefers women then maybe Elsa and Mulan could develop into a thing, since both are romantically unattached and it’s not clear what Elsa’s sexual orientation is.
