ParticipantThanks for that! I know Cora said it in the episode, but there was some confusion as to what exactly happened between her and Rumple before she ripped her heart out.
I have to say I’m relieved, because now we don’t have to worry about theorizing Regina’s parentage. That would have been AWFUL.

ParticipantYup and yet STILL some people will insist upon believing it. Ah well. I like that we can put some theories to rest at times.
Keeper of Belle's Gold magic, sand dollar, cloaks, purple FTL outfit, spell scroll, library key, copy of Romeo and Juliet, and cry-muffling pillow, Rumple's doll, overcoat, and strength, and The Timeline. My spreadsheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6r8CySCCWd9R0RUNm4xR3RhMEU/view?usp=sharing

ParticipantJust last night, I realised something that I hadn’t seen mentioned in any of the debate about who Regina’s bio dad was. I posted it in the spoiler section where there was some discussion going on about it.
The actor who plays Henry Sr: Latino
The actor they’d cast as Prince Henry: Latino
The actor they’d cast as the King: Latino
Lana: Latina
Robert: ScotThey pay close attention to casting similar actors on this show, and I couldn’t believe that in everyone’s apprehension and angst and paranoia over the possibility of Rumple being Regina’s father, none of us had made that connection before. I mean, it’s been staring us in the face since we first met Henry Sr in season 1. 😆
Needless to say, I slept well last night, after that little revelation. Good to have it confirmed officially by Jane.

ParticipantWhew. Thank God. 😮 Poor Henry would have needed even more therapy if his family tree was any more twisted. O_O

ParticipantActually, the actor who plays King Xavier is Portuguese 😆 but he can pass for a Latino male. So close enough 😆 😆

ParticipantJust found this in trying to find Xavier’s connection (namewise):
The Bilingual Fairy Tales version of Rumplestiltskin was adapted by Xavier Carrasco. Very fitting. 🙂
Keeper of Hook's Trenchcoat.

Google told me that Portuguese can also be classified under the Latino banner.

ParticipantPhee – indeed they are! I can’t imagine what other connection there is to the name (I couldn’t find much) but it just seems like way too much of a coincidence for this NOT to be the connection.
Keeper of Hook's Trenchcoat.
