spoiler: IN the preview spoilers they show a TODO dog… but those hints are all there to throw us off ( in my opinion) Writers / creators along with coming up with the scripts must put a lot of thought into how to throw us off track….. AFTER ALL who would watch a show when they can figure out all the story a head of time….. too predictable.

You mean the paperweight? It’s a sitting donkey. In one of the previews there’s a great shot of it when Mr Gold picks it up. That’s a hint for Pinocchio, who turned into a donkey at one point. There’s no doubt they put lots of stuff in the show that is potentially just to throw viewers off and keep us guessing, but if the writer actually specifically says, “This thing is a direct hint,” I doubt it’s gonna be a red herring to throw people off.
