I was hoping for her writting Manhattan, but it may be a bit too early for her to get another episode after this one. But she does know how to write Rumplestiltskin.
She writes all my favorite episodes, but if Gold starts up with Cora, I’ll never be able to forgive her. In the present, that is, because I have a sneaking suspicion that they had an affair in the past.

Gold and Cora? I can’t see that. Not in his right mind. Rumple is evil, but he genuinely loves Belle. He’d never give up on her. Not on purpose.

of course he loves Belle but that does not mean Rumple didn’t have a love life before her. It could have been one of those sick and twisted relationship. Cora is a very beautiful lady who is also very smart… and powerful. Assuming Rumple was her teacher, I can see the relationship evolving from that.

Although he did inadvertently fall in love with Belle, he resisted following through with this in FTL. And even in Skin Deep, Belle makes the statement before the True Loves kiss that since he lost Bae, Rumple has “loved no one and no one has loved” him. Which Rumple did not dispute this in the Skin Deep episode.
Perhaps the Cora/Rumple kiss (if it is real), is a Kiss of True Hate.
January 15, 2013 at 5:19 am #168396marilouParticipantwho said anything about love? how about… primal urges?
January 15, 2013 at 5:42 am #168400midnight drearyParticipantSorry, but I don’t see Gold cheating on his true love. Just like I can’t see Snow cheating on Charming, or Regina cheating on Daniel when she was a young girl. Besides, even if it is just about “primal urges” why would Rumpel go for Cora? No offense to the lovely Barbara Hershey, but Gold has a 20 year old girl that he can be with. How the heck doesn he go from that to Cora? 😯

not in sotrybrook of course (he has other priorities at the moment) but back in FTL, When he first knew Cora. I don’t think it’s impossible they had a thing. The kiss we see is just reminiscence of what use to be.
January 15, 2013 at 12:40 pm #168411sarah_tnParticipantThe thought of Cora and Rumple. That is making a shiver go down my spine. She’d bring out the very worst in him, I’m sure.
January 15, 2013 at 6:29 pm #168462ZieraParticipantHave any of you read the hunger games? If not and youre going to, or you’re reading it…this is a hunger games spoiler. 😉 Maybe it will be like the Katniss/Peeta situation. He lost his memory, and She was depressed and heartsick…so she went for Gale for a minute, because she was confused…she also had to get away from peeta even though she loved him, cause it was too painful. I think that could be a lot like Rumple, but I wouldn’t see him cheating on Belle at all. Not in a right mind. Whacha guys think?

January 15, 2013 at 6:36 pm #168463evilqueenParticipantFirst, I’d like to say. I’m neither for nor against Cora and Rumple. Personally, if anything, they would be an item in the past, not now and because of those ‘primal urges’ like Marilou said, and not because of love. People can do crazy things when they feel lonely and desperate.
However, coming back on Rumple vowing not to love anything else after Bae was gone is not a strong arguement because one cannot stop a heart from feelings. Happiness, sadness, love, attachment, you can’t control it. And even though one might resist, sometime being lonely for so long (hundreds of years in case of Rumple) makes people lose patience and give up previous promises. -
