I asked Jane Espenson a lot of questions last night on Twitter.
Twitter Questions I had for Jane Espenson and her responses:
Question: Will there be a flashback episode of Rumpelstiltskin before the Ogre War and meeting Milah.
Jane’s response: I’d say so. Those are the kind of time periods we leave open for a reason so the years ahead will be fertile.
Question: Will there be a flashback episode when Rumpelstiltskin was a young teenager or even a child in the future.
Jane’s response: I wouldn’t be a bit surprised. You know, at some point. #TenYearRun
Question: Will there be a flashback episode of when Ruby and Archie met in their animal forms in Enchanted Forest.Jane’s response: Oh dear! Wolf versus cricket! Poor Archie!
Question: How will Emma react when Neal comes to Storybrooke
Jane’s Response: Are you so sure he’s coming to SB?
Question: Will Emma and Mr. Gold’s relationship change when she comes back to Storybrooke
Jane’s Response: Well, she does owe him that favor. They say calling in favors changes things. You know, if that happens.
Question: How do you think Emma will react when she finds out that Mr. Gold has a son.
Jane’s response: I don’t think she will be gut-shot by him having a son. Other revelations, however, will floor her!

I cant help feel a little deflated though, by them wanting to make this a TEN YEAR RUN !! Dang those american show people! I say if they had written this to be a 3 season show maybe 4 tops. They could have made a masterpiece. Ten years nope, sorry! they can make a very awsome show sure, if they keep it up the way it is now, but they wont break any ‘soundwalls’. If you get my point.
But another thing. So Emma still does owe him that favor ! really cant wait to see how he chooses to collect.

November 15, 2012 at 10:55 pm #160904PriceofMagicParticipantI don’t think the ten year run comment is serious.

Keeper of FelixNovember 15, 2012 at 11:03 pm #160906GrimmsisterParticipantBut they are going for as many years as possible, probably.
November 15, 2012 at 11:06 pm #160907PriceofMagicParticipantThey’ll plan ahead for future seasons but it’s up to ABC whether or not to pick up another season. Lost only lasted 6 seasons.

Keeper of FelixNovember 16, 2012 at 6:06 am #160972GrimmsisterParticipantI know I know!! But if they plan ahead for many future seasons that still impacts the way they will write the current season and trying to make the plot last as long as possible will water the story out.
November 16, 2012 at 4:05 pm #161015gigiParticipantThat’s ok. Supernatural has 8 seasons, Smallville has 10 seasons, they’re all very good shows too 🙂 Thanks for posting these Vampirefan12, they’re very interesting informations <3

I remember a couple of us discussing over the summer the possibility that Rumple’s favor from Emma may be her tracking down Baelfire. Since we now know he cannot leave town – a lot of these answers have me thinking about that again..
