KeymasterA and E must be writing 506 if the new girl is doing 505. Makes sense 506 is the middle of the road and they typically take the middle episode, along with first and last.

ModeratorThe 7th episode of the Season is normally a wild card. Season 1 it was Graham, Season 2 it was Red, Season 3 it was Belle, and Season 4 it was Ingrid.

Merlin’s Centric Episode…calling it now!

Ah yes, the curse of episode 7 was a thing we made up. Whose ever centric it was then left the show. Graham, Ruby, Ingrid. Belle seems to be the only one who has gone against the trend (though her screentime seems to be virtually non-existent half the time).
All magic comes with a price!

Mmm. I don’t know. I think A and E would want to tackle that one since Merlin is so vital not only to Camelot but to their own OUAT mythos (though, the one writer they’d trust to handle it, if not them, would be Jane).

Well, they did have Jane and Kalinda handle “Best Laid Plans”, which ended up introducing us to the Author.

Introducing? Yes. But his full fleshed out backstory (421) they did themselves.

Well, they also didn’t handle Zelena’s backstory.

I wouldn’t say Zelena is on the same level as Merlin, the Sorcerer and God-Insert figure. There’s a difference between arc importance and mythos importance. Really, it’s up to A and E to decide what they want to write. They’ve done minor characters backstories too, Ariel for example. *shrug* I did say that Jane would probably be the writer they would trust to handle Merlin if they didn’t.
