I am a bit new to this, so I apologize if this is not done well.

I’ve been thinking lately (and rewatching A Land Without Magic numerous times) about how Jefferson freed Belle. How did he know where she was? How did he know about her relationship with Rumpelstiltskin? I know he has maps of the whole town, and he seems to have a fairly good idea on how to manipulate and hide when need be, and perhaps he knows a bit about who is who, all thanks to his former partnership with the Queen.

But I have been thinking and wondering that maybe Jefferson had something to do with Belle being imprisoned in the first place. The first idea I had had was that the Huntsman had been forced to capture Belle and bring her to the Queen, but seeing as how Jefferson knew about Belle (and how he had once worked for the Queen) maybe he was the one to capture her. Granted, it is hard for me to picture–he has been shown to be a loving father. Yet it would make sense to how he knew about Belle and that would be enough to enrage Rumpelstiltskin.

This was discussed a little in the Mad Hatter thread. I don’t trust him. I know we should be grateful that he released Belle, but all I can think of is that if Regina would have given him what he wanted he would have left Belle in that basement asylum to rot. He only did it after he wanted revenge on Regina and he knew Gold was man enough to do what he himself couldn’t.

It’s funny, though, that he didn’t help Belle find Mr. Gold. He just told her to go find him. Is he afraid of Gold? Do they have a history? It’s like he doesn’t want to be anywhere near the man.

Something fishy is going on with Jefferson. I don’t quite trust him.

I have no idea how Jefferson new about Belle. The only thing I’m sure of is that Jefferson wants to use Mr. Gold to help seek revenge against Regina. I honestly see him becoming an ally of Mr. Gold’s in season 2. They have a common enemy: Regina. I think Mr. Gold will allow Jefferson to join his ranks out of gratitude for rescuing Belle. However, he will probably demand Jefferson’s hat as paymanet for helping him seek revenge against Regina. Rumpel will need that hat if he discovers that Baelfire wasn’t sent to this world. If he has the hat, he’ll be able to visit 20 other worlds. It’s also a pretty impressive escape device.

And Gold could give Jefferson a forgetting potion, if Jefferson still wants it (I think there’s a chance he will, rather than take Grace from a happy home).

If everyone’s memories where restored, Jefferson Daughter;s would be as well. She may choose to go back to her father.
