Did anyone else think that maybe Regina wrote the storybook that Henry has based on what Jefferson said?

That was my first reaction also, but I don’t think he was talking about the Fairytale land book the more I think about it. I think Jefferson wants Regina to change things around in Storybrook so that he won’t remember Fairytale land and he can have his daughter back. So that means she may have more power of the people’s lives in Storybrook than we think. But that begs the question, if she can just change Storybrook “stories” like that, why didn’t she do anything to MM’s or David’s if she was so worried about them during the affair?

Actually my first thought when I heard Jefferson tell Regina that was “Oh, crap that’s how they’re going to end the season. Regina is going to rewrite EVERYONE’S story and the whole thing will ‘re-set’ back to the beginning and we will have to start all over again.”

But I am totally confused by this. Would Regina only have the ability to re-write a new story for Jefferson and his daughter because he is open to allowing that to happen? Because I am assuming she doesn’t have the ability to re-write anyone else’s stories because the curse is weakening. Otherwise, wouldn’t she have re-written Ashley and Sean’s story so they wouldn’t end up together? And wouldn’t she just re-write MM’s story so that she thought she DID kill Kathryn??

I’m not sure that Regina actually could re-write Jefferson’s and his daughter’s stories in SB. She may have just been telling him what she thinks he wants to hear. I think back to when MM awoke David from his comma. Regina hypnotized David by sending him to Mr. Gold’s shop in which he gazed at the windmill and was implanted with false memories about a fake marriage to Kathryn. Perhaps the reason Regina was able to come up with that story is because he’d yet to be implanted with any false story. She may not be able to implant David with yet another backstory. It could be a one-off situation in which each character can only be given one fake SB identity.

I’m wondering if maybe Regina could rewrite or reset the stories before Emma came to town. Because what if someone started to realize who they were, could she reset their memories or would she just throw them in the downstairs hospital along with Belle.

I just think she was lying. I agree with slurpeez108 that she was probably just telling him what he wanted to hear. She pulled the “family” card as well to try and gain an emotional advantage. Even if she could give him an identity and erase his memory, she would not give him a HEA, I don’t think she is capable of doing that, her ideal is for everyone to share her misery and have the power to keep them all that way. She is not going to give someone else a happy ending when she can’t have hers. The memories would be flawed somehow if she could possibly do it, but I really think the bit of magic Jefferson had is what kept him from forgetting.
