I like the idea of learning something additional about Charming’s past, like about his father for example?

Haha that’s true, Charming is always around Rumbelle. I don’t know about that though, cause wouldn’t it be in everyone’s best interest to know that Rumple might kill Henry? That seems like something he would tell everyone rather than keep secret

Rumple probably won’t say that he’d planned to kill Henry previously. Just talk about knowing he’s going to die saving Henry and Pan’s offer to let Rumple live if he doesn’t attempt to get Henry. He could overhear him telling Belle he has to save his grandson. That would nudge Charming into keeping the secret that Rumple thinks he’s going to his death in his quest.

I see what you mean. He might not overhear it all. AND it would question his integrity if he is willing to let Rumple die without trying to figure out another way or something.

Huh. That’s actually a really good thought, guys. And it makes total sense. Does Charming rat out Rumple to everyone else? Or does he recognize Rumple’s need to be a hero and that Rumple IS trying to save Henry? I think Charming knows that Rumple has always wanted to be the romantic hero, like Charming is. And Charming does tend to be “infuriatingly optimistic” as his daughter would say.

I am thinking Charming’s big secret is that he has been fatally poisoned/wounded and doesn’t want to slow the search for Henry.  It would be very slow acting. .  Based on the spoiler thread for episode 2.

Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.

Ya know sweetgrass that would suck if the big secret is what you said. I just hope that someone would be smart enough to eventually figure it out and save him in time.

I think it would be for angst drama and parallels Rumple’s journey.  I fully expect a happy ending.  You just have to believe. 😉

I doubt this because Regina could heal him, I think it is something in his pass perhaps something to do with his dad too since we don’t know anything about David’s Dad but are suppose to get some more history on David this year.

Just thought of another idea. Maybe he hears something happened to Storybrooke after they left on Hooks ship. That would be something you wouldn’t want the others to think about as their searching for Henry. I think I saw a tease for ep. 7 mentioning that there might be at least one scene of Storybrooke where we see what happened to it and it might look like ep 2 which i’m assuming they meant ep.2 from season 2.
