Such a great article. I really can’t wait to see all of this juicy, angsty, character growth play out. It’s gonna be some seriously heartwrenching stuff. It’s gonna hurt like hell, but it’s gonna be wonderful!
Haha that’s true, Charming is always around Rumbelle. I don’t know about that though, cause wouldn’t it be in everyone’s best interest to know that Rumple might kill Henry? That seems like something he would tell everyone rather than keep secret
Rumple probably won’t say that he’d planned to kill Henry previously. Just talk about knowing he’s going to die saving Henry and Pan’s offer to let Rumple live if he doesn’t attempt to get Henry. He could overhear him telling Belle he has to save his grandson. That would nudge Charming into keeping the secret that Rumple thinks he’s going to his death in his quest.
Loving this theory! It would be totally fitting for wingman Charming to overhear a Rumbelle moment. In the promo, it seemed like Rumple is debating whether or not he really does try to save Henry, or if he chooses his own life instead. If Charming overheard that stuff, and kept it to himself because he doesn’t think it’d help the rest of them to be distracted by knowing it, it’d really eat away at him. Maybe down the line, there’ll come a moment when something goes wrong, and it turns out that that information really would have been handy to know after all, and he’ll feel guilty for having kept it to himself.

And this is will develop later on throughout the rest of the [first half of the season], but he’s going to find out something that is going to put his integrity into question, and he’ll be wrestling with how that works and what the consequences are for compromising his integrity. So yeah, he’s got a big secret,” Dallas said.
What if the secret is that Rumble killed his wife and Hook told David how or perhaps Hook will tell David that he ran off with Bae’s mother.

Maybe but the way Josh talks about this secret, it seems like it’s Charming’s secret, no something Charming is keeping for someone else.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 5, 2013 at 11:39 am #214125PriceofMagicParticipantI think PP is going to be the one to reveal the secret to Charming. It’s going to be Charming’s secret.
Perhaps PP will say that Charming has to keep the secret from the others otherwise Henry dies, when it would be beneficial to the others for Charming to tell the secret.

Interesting. PP does seem to like to play head games with people. Making Charming doubt his inner goodness and what the “right” thing is would be right up PP’s alley.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 5, 2013 at 12:02 pm #214134PheeParticipantDeleted DVD scenes are canon, and didn’t that deleted George scene have him say something about Charming having darkness in him too or something along those lines? Perhaps they included the scene in the DVD because they intend to tap into that as part of his NL arc.
October 5, 2013 at 12:05 pm #214137PriceofMagicParticipantIt was hinted in Tiny that Charming could have ended up like James, nature vs nurture. Arguably James played Anton and stole from him to help the kingdom, was James right or wrong?

I believe so, yes. I think @HappyEndings was making that point in the chat the other night. We know pretty much *nothing* about Charming’s life pre-Snow Falls. We know he and Ruth were poor and that he was ignorant of his twin. We know he was a romantic and believed in love. That’s…it?

Keeper Nealfire's/Bae's scarf, Henry and Neal's bribery ice cream sundae, Baelfire's sword, the coconut map, and more.
