Given that they’re about to shoot a big Emma ep, would it be safe to assume that the whole thing will be set in our world? They can hardly do FTL flashbacks for her. Though we don’t know where Emma is at this point in the season, I suppose, and with the speculation about her and Snow having gone somewhere, I guess they could potentially still be wherever, and maybe this will be the ep where they come back to SB. Trying to think how the Giant would fit in with either of those scenarios if Jorge will in fact be in this ep. Could he be in real world flashbacks from Emma’s past? Or could he be wherever Emma and Snow are currently, if they’re not back in our world yet? Or maybe he won’t have any interaction with Emma at all, and instead will have scenes with Jack.
I’m not sure. This tweet from Jorge Garcia messes up my theory about Garcia perhaps not being a real giant just someone from our world nicknamed that because of his size.
Had my #OnceAUponTime wardrobe fitting yesterday. Might just be the greatest costume I’ve ever worn.
Maybe he really is a giant then. Maybe MR-J is only Jack then and not Bae and/or Henry’s dad. I still think it’s odd that they’re being so mysterious with his character if he’s not Bae and/or Henry’s dad since I think they would have learned their lesson from the backlash over hyping up the August mystery to ridiculous levels caused if MR-J isn’t Bae and/or Henry’s dad.
And with MRJ also in this one, does that confirm that he’s our Jack? I’d had Jack pegged as Bae and MRJ pegged as Henry’s father, not necessarily being sold on the theory of Bae being Henry’s dad, but now I’m starting to wonder.
I guess it could be that MR-J is only Jack and is basically only there to be Emma’s love interest this year. Ahh, Bae has such a strong connection to magic beans though! 😥 Or he could just be Henry’s dad, but I just think it would be weird if Henry’s dad didn’t turn out to be Bae at this point too because of the hints that the producers have gave, and the fact that I think that only people from Fairy Tale Land or other magical worlds will be allowed to enter Storybrooke because a regular person couldn’t handle it now that magic is back.
It’s ridiculous how a tweet from a cast member’s girlfriend can send my mind racing. 😆 I need the new eps to start airing so I can focus on some actual facts instead of crazy speculation for a change. 😛
I know! Hopefully he’ll post up a picture so we can get more of a clue what kind of giant he really is.

Jorge Garcia’s first appearance on “Once Upon a Time” as the Giant of “Jack and the Beanstalk” fame probably won’t be his last.
“I got word last week that they’re looking to bring me back in about a month,” Garcia tells Zap2it. “So it looks like there will be at least another one.”
In Sunday’s episode (Nov. 4), Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Capt. Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) climb the beanstalk in search of a magical compass that may help get Emma back to Storybrooke. The Giant, as you might expect, is less than happy to have visitors — ABC even describes the character as “murderous.” Playing mean was something Garcia, best known as super-nice guy Hurley on “Lost,” has been itching to do.
PICS: ‘Once Upon a Time’ Season 2
“It was a joy,” he says. “It was exactly the kind of stuff I was looking forward to getting to do after having played the nicest guy on the island for so long. To get to then go, all right, let’s play guys who aren’t so happy to see you and can be dangerous was a lot of fun.”
As with many of the characters on “Once Upon a Time,” the Giant may not be exactly as you remember him from the fairy tale. “‘Once Upon a Time’ has got that kind of thing where they take something you think you’re familiar with and kind of skew it a bit. … It’s where they go in this one as well. It’s not exactly as you expect the giant story to be.
“If you’re using, like, ‘Mickey and the Beanstalk’ as a comparison, there’s definitely a different angle for this giant,” he adds. “But it’s pretty good — I think they’ll dig it.”
Garcia’s scenes were all done with green-screen backdrops, which he says was an exercise in trust with episode director Dave Barrett to make sure his performance fits in the finished show. He also got some help from his fellow actors.
“Jennifer Morrison was a great trouper and even went as far as to lie down on the ground so her face would be next to the camera and the eye line would work,” Garcia says. It was definitely a good supporting cast to help me through it.”
The episode — and whatever he may do on “Once Upon a Time” in the future — also was a mini-“Lost” reunion for Garcia and creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who wrote several Hurley-centric episodes of “Lost.”
“It was fantastic. We had been talking for a while, and they’ve always been saying they wanted to find a way to get me on ‘Once Upon a Time,'” Garcia says. “It was [a matter of] looking for when the right opportunity would show up. This giant storyline came up and they pitched it to me, and it seemed like an inspired fit. It just all came together really well.”
