Just when you may have thought you couldn’t possibly learn anything new about Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming’s (Josh Dallas) fairytale life on ABC’s Once Upon A Time, the show went ahead and delivered just a little bit more– including a fun inclusion of a well known Camelot lesson that Charming appropriated in order to inspire his beloved’s confidence. How much more is left? Series star Dallas told LA TV Insider Examiner that there is actually room for a lot more– and that is not limited to just fairytale stories of Snow and Charming together.

“We’re not at that point just yet in terms of filming, but we definitely will [get more of David’s backstory], for sure,” Dallas said.

“There’s David’s whole life. Who is his father? How did he learn how to sword fight like that? How did he learn to do all of that stuff when he took over his brother’s personality? How did he learn to do all of that? Maybe there’s a story there we’ll be telling. Whether it’s this half of the season or the next, I’m not sure. We’ve got time.”

In the meantime, though, Once Upon A Time is evolving David’s relationships with those he is working with– and keeping a secret from– in Neverland. While he is still taking a somewhat hands off approach to Emma (Jennifer Morrison), as he has proven is his parenting style, letting her come to him when she’s ready, he is finding that he is actually forming a surprising bond with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue). They started off having to work together, but over time they are finding that they have more in common than they think and they genuinely don’t mind working together.

“As you saw on the boat, we have heroes, we have villains, we have a pilot, we have a savior; we have all of these different ideals of how to get to the same kind of end. So you know, all of these guys are going to have to pull together and work together, and yeah I think there’s probably going to be a little bromance that brews from that,” Dallas said.

That doesn’t mean David will back Hook should Hook decide he wants to make an actual, official play for Emma, though– but Dallas didn’t say it was out of the question, either. After all, Neal (Michael Raymond-James) may not be dead, but he has certainly left Emma before and therefore hurt her, and greatly. David may find he is more protective around Neal because he doesn’t know him. Time in Neverland will allow him to get to know Hook, though.

“It depends how he proves himself. It depends if he becomes honorable or not. You know, in not only Charming’s eyes but Emma’s eyes, and that’s what’s most important anyway,” Dallas said.

Once Upon A Time airs on ABC on Sunday nights at 8 p.m.

Is 310 a David episode? Seems odd to me since it’s the penultimate for the first half of the season, but given what just happened in Lost Girl, I guess the wound thing comes to a head.

These actors are getting really really really good at being diplomatic on the whole shipping issue.

I TOTALLY ship Charming Captian brOTP, probably more than CS.

Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.

CaptainCharming has excellent bromance potential! I loved the, “Hate to say it, but I agree with him,” moments they had.
