David’s hairstyle is the new one in this flashback and it looks like the current new style.

Looks different to me. The one in the Rapunzel scene, there are clearly studs intermittently along the gold lines of thread, and those aren’t on the 312 costume. The 312 costume, I dunno off the top of my head if he’s worn it in an ep, but he did wear it in some of the S2 promo pics: http://onceuponatime.wikia.com/wiki/Prince_Charming/Gallery

But given what we know about 3B–that they all loose their memories of the past year (headdesk)–I think it makes more sense for this to be in the lost year. Maybe everyone slowly regains memories in each of their centrics. If Charming and Rapunzel meet in SB in present day, we’ll see how he saved her in the lost year but then also how they maybe trigger each others memories.

Look at Charming’s clothes!
That we will likely meet Rapunzel in the year in EF without Emma.

I think it makes the most narrative sense as well to the missing year. Our characters have forgotten the missing year but like in S1(since this is a big reboot, in a way) A and E will show the audience what happened in that time even when our characters themselves don’t remember.

Like, from some kind if creepy, Grudge-esque, creature. And Charming (fleeing the same beast?) finds his way into her tower and together he breaks her out….
Also, Rapunzel could have been trapped in the region where Cora’s bubble affected (just putting that out there)

The curse is an entity created where the person died.” Could Rapunzel have something to do with The Dark One?
Maybe her mother died? BTW, the next part of the wikipedia description: “Those who encounter this evil supernatural force die and the curse is reborn repeatedly, passed from victim to victim in an endless, growing chain of horror. The following events are explained in their actual order; the original film is presented in a non-linear narrative.” It does sound rather Dark One-ish. Though for Rapunzel to be tied to the Dark One Curse, wouldn’t she, and her father, have to have lived a looooooonnng time ago, so why are they seemingly alive in present day?
Not impossible they would connect it with the Dark One, but the curse in The Grugde is in my opinion a very different type of curse than the curse of the Dark One. The Dark One has something coldblooded, calculated, intellectual evil in his character, while the curse in The Grudge is about raw, uncontrolled and uncontrollable destructive emotions, it’s kinda vengeance, fury coming to supernatural life. It says at the beginning of the movie “”When someone dies in the grip of a powerful rage… A curse is born. The curse gathers in that place of death. Those who encounter it will be consumed by its fury.” (The Grudge, 2004) The movie The Grudge is a haunted house or place story including murder-suicide. See haunted house tv-trope. It has a few disturbing images, hairy moments, and some find the non linear structure of the plot rather confusing, although it makes the movie somewhat interesting (besides that it stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and was produced by Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert, who produced among other things as well Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena The Warrior Princes, in which Rose McIver played roles in episodes as kid; can’t help it, six degrees of separation). Will be interesting what inspiration A&E got from the movie besides giving Rapunzel more of a horror touch. Rapunzel’s tower prison as a haunted place maybe? Her family or she haunted by a ghost of vengeance? Or maybe not a ghost.
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯
February 11, 2014 at 10:18 pm #244483HappyEndingsSpectatorSorry, I didn’t go through all the pages but that photo of David and Rapz doesn’t look that great. Rapz hair looks like a mess to me maybe I am comparing it to Tangle but I thought they could do a better job imo.
February 11, 2014 at 10:18 pm #244484kpercymanParticipantWhat if Rapunzel is the ghost? David needs to free her spirit from the site of a horrific crime.
Just throwing it out there.

That’s what we had been discussing in the several posts before yours, (I even said that my post was inspired by something I’d seen on tumblr), and I posted my own side by side pics and explained why I DON’T think they match.

Or if she IS the creature, and is being kept there to protect everyone else?
