And besides, I know Bobby can pull it off, but HOW many characters have they meshed into one person? Seriously, spread the wealth.
If anyone could pull it off, it’s Bobby but I agree. He’s got so many facets of Rumple now, he doesn’t need another.
I’m thinking the Diana pic has to do with the Castle spoiler and then OUAT was tossed in as a redirect. It makes more sense for that show since the leads are engaged and their wedding planning is a part of the sub-storylines.
I agree. He’s previewing “Castle” as well on Monday.

The Wizard, as we all know, is from Kansas and a con man who has no magical abilities even though the people of Oz think otherwise. We also know that the Wizard eventually returns to his world via the Balloon that Dorothy misses. I’m thinking that while he’s in Oz, and it can be a short period and give us a chance to see an older Dylan or even just revealed in dialogue, that Bae learns con man ways from the Wizard. Then they return together in the balloon to our world and Bae takes up his survival thieving/con man ways and transforms into Neal Cassidy. Ta da!
The idea that Bae had a stop in Oz has been floating around for a while, and I’ve never really been on board. The reason I’m just not sure about it is I’ve figured that Pan let Bae go, and he wanted him in our world, so why would he end up in Oz instead? It’s certainly true that if he DID end up in Oz, and if it was around the time of the Wizard leaving in his balloon, then Bae could have hitched a ride and that’s how he ended up in our world and that could be a cool way to tie the Oz story in. Though, if in the Onceiverse, the story is still the same in that Dorothy missed the balloon and then used the slippers instead, and if that particular slippers event is what Jefferson was referring to, then the Wizard left Oz before Regina even became the EQ, and we’ve previously figured out that Bae didn’t leave NL until after the Curse was cast. So I dunno if it’d be able to fit with the t-word?
Anyway, as for how Bae became Neal, I don’t find it unbelievable at all. Bae lived poor in FTL, had to scrape together enough to be able to survive, same deal when he was homeless on the streets of Victorian London only now he was doing it on his own, and then he managed to survive for a couple of centuries in NL, which involved him having enough wits to make and/or steal enough stuff to set up his home in the cave. After all that life experience, I don’t think he needed any tuition from the Wizard in order to have made his way in our world. It’s not like he was a super successful master con man in our world anyway. He was living on the streets and had the goods from his one major crime stashed away somewhere he couldn’t even get to it in order to be able to reap the payoff. He excelled as a petty thief, but kinda failed when it came to big stakes crime. I’d expect more from him if he’d been the student of a master conman.

They both have similar names, look similar, and behave the same way. Mila cheats on Rumpel with Hook. Melena cheats on Frex with two men, one who is later revealed to be the wizard and the father of the wicked witch of the west. I felt that needed to be pointed out >> lost my train of thought. Again. Also young Bae in Oz brings to mind images of Liir, the witches son from the novels, for some reason. If i were sure that they could use Wicked on the show, i could be formulating crack theories but i wont. just pointing these things out.

I think you could be right! If Rumple lost his actual powers as a wizard and was transported to Oz, then maybe he now has to fake being a wizard to get home.
Or maybe the Wizard of Oz is actually Chris Gorham’s character.

January 12, 2014 at 10:46 am #236588kfchimeraParticipantI agree with Phee it is not a huge leap from street rat Bae in Victorian London, stealing bread to street wise Neal stealing to survive. He didn’t come across to me like someone proud of that lifestyle or who was all that adept at it, but someone who fell into it and didn’t really have a great plan in mind, just adapting to circumstances . I suppose he could have met the Wizard and come to this world with him, picking up a few tricks but he would have been a teenager still when he got to this world I think.
Anyway, we’ll find out if he ever stopped anywhere else because his line “This world wasn’t my first stop” still seems odd if he did land in this world, just a different historical period of it.

January 13, 2014 at 12:57 am #236683motormouth12ParticipantI saw a tweet where someone mentioned is there going to be another princess bride reference and he said a princess bride…? Hmm. Wouldn’t that be lovely and he mentioned three of the actresses on the shows names JMOs, Emilied, and Lana. and someone commented that he’s not being fair maybe a hint and then all will be revealed tomorrow. I’m slightly worried about what we are going to find out tomorrow, we better not find out emma has a husband.

January 13, 2014 at 7:16 am #236714PheeParticipantGet ready for some big reveals when ABC’s Once Upon a Time returns on March 9. Executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz preview what’s brewing in Fairy Tale Land, Storybrooke and Oz.
– The Wicked Witch of the West (Lost’s Rebecca Mader) lands in Storybrooke on the March 9 episode. She shares ties to two familiar characters. Viewers will learn what turned her green and will eventually meet the Wizard. “There might be some other surprises along the yellow brick road,” Kitsis says. “We’re setting up the fight of all fights: Evil Queen versus Wicked Witch!”
– The March 9 episode will also incorporate the fact that real-life couple Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas (Snow and Charming) are expecting a child. The baby will have a connection to the impending progeny of Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger) and Prince Phillip (Julian Morris), though producers promise there won’t be a soap opera-like baby switch.
– Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will encounter a mysterious stranger in New York City (Covert Affairs’ Christopher Gorham); Charming will come to the rescue of Rapunzel (Alexandra Metz) atop a tower; and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) will meet her French candlestick pal, Lumiere (True Blood’s Henri Lubatti).
– Now that Meghan Ory has wrapped the first season of CBS’s Intelligence, she may be back as Little Red this spring.
– Expect a splashy season-finale wedding. Will the bride and groom be Belle and Rumple? Emma and Hook? Regina and Robin Hood?
– Cruella de Vil and the princesses from the box-office hit Frozen top the producers’ character wish list for Season 4.

January 13, 2014 at 7:21 am #236715PriceofMagicParticipant“Splashy” makes me think Ariel and Eric but I would be very happy for a RumBelle wedding. It won’t be CaptainSwan or OutlawQueen because those two relationships haven’t even got started yet.
All magic comes with a price!
