I think the connection between the two babies will be minor (unless on Henry’s family tree they are 4th cousins, twice removed). I think Snow uses that charmed necklace thing that David’s mother gave her. I think it just tells Snow and Aurora they are both having boys. Heirs to the thrown.
I don’t think they would do any bad storyline around their babies. I’m inclined to think it’s more minor as well. Maybe it’s not a connection so much as Snow and Aurora talk about being mothers “for the first time” since Snow missed Emma’s childhood.

I disagree with this…. Emma is the heir to the Snowing throne – we know Snow was in the running to be Queen so gender doesn’t matter.
Emma can’t even really be considered an “heir” since she is the same age as her parents. If anyone is heir to the Snowing throne it’s Henry, IMO 🙂

But that could be the drama of the baby couldn’t it? Snow was the heir because she was 1) beloved by her father and 2) an only child. They had no problem making Snow queen when they had no other options. But we’ve yet to see another female heir. We don’t know Auroras status in her own kingdom. Was she the heir to her parents? Politics in the EF have been leftwholly wanting. So if Snowing have a boy, and Emma’s isn’t the true heir because she’s 1) the same age as Snow and Charming and 2) a girl then a boy baby would be the true heir being the only male heir.

No because they weren’t in a rush to marry her off. It was a foregone conclusion in Lost Girl that Snow would be Queen.
Traditionally, either the males are the heirs OR if no sons the throne goes to the nearest male relative.

Not traditionally no. The brother would be the “spare” in this case.

So, I’m going to be bold and overindulge in my personal shipping optimism: the wedding is going to be Rumbelle’s and here’s why…
1. The wedding is going to be in the season finale. Usually, TV weddings are around 60% about the bride and groom and the rest about their families and friends so I don’t see why Once would spend so much screen time of the finale (which usually is very dramatic on that show) on two minor characters, though Ariel was popular, funny and cute and just awesome.
2. Keck has already teased the upcoming baby storyline and named Snow, Regina and Belle in his tweet so why not do it again. That would leave OutlawQueen, Captain Swan and Rumbelle as candidates and without diminishing the first two couples, but they are far away from walking down the aisle.
3. Rumbelle’s future was already hinted in The New Neverland when Rumple told Belle that he was only interested in one path, the one where they were together. I seriously thought he would propose.
4. There are 3 TL couples, one is married and has a kid and one on the way (Snowing), the second appears to be married or at least live together in their castle and expect a baby as well (Philora) and then there is Rumbelle… It’s time to take their relationship to the next level!
(5. The entire Rumbelle fandom would forever forgive A&E for constantly separating Rumple and Belle and stop harassing them on twitter 😛 )
Sorry for the long post but the hiatus and the prospect of another 2 months without OUAT is making me slightly crazy and I’m just looking forward to the remaining 11 episodes of the season…
