KeymasterYes I remember that sign. I think it’s the pilot. It may have been a subtle clue to Tink working with someone in SB or having a connection to one of them, but it’s also just a standard Disney reference and a way to clue in the audience that the town isn’t what it seems. It’s just another call back to the idea of fairy tales. This is the image.

SpectatorThanks RumblesGirl, I didn’t remember it being inside someone’s yard I thought it was on the outside interesting. Didn’t Snow have a white picket fence?

KeymasterI don’t remember who’s house it is, but since Snow lived in a loft, she doesn’t have a front yard I don’t think.

ParticipantI found the image you’re looking for.

SpectatorIt is Snow’s place the photo above shows Emma’s yellow Bug. Also, David had to open the gate to help Snow with the Bird Feeder, I can’t remember the name of the episode but the one where David came home from the hospital.
This is the bad fairy that Snow got the fairy dust from and if that is the case how did she meet Tinkerbell in FL since Tinkerbell was from NL?

KeymasterJust went back and watched. The fence is shown briefly as Emma is driving into town with Henry in the pilot. There is no indication about the owner of the fence and sign, so it’s probably just a call back to Peter Pan and fairy tales in general.
EDIT
Emma’s yellow bug is driving by, it’s not parked. This is right before she stops to talk to Archie, before she takes Henry to Regina’s. The fence and sign are near the library.

SpectatorThis is from the “Shepherd Episode” 1×06
Mary Margaret is trying to hang a bird feeder in a tree. David calls to her from the sidewalk.)
David: Did you not get the invite?
MMB: David.
(David jumps over the fence and hangs the bird feeder for her.)

ParticipantIt’s the same pickets as in the scene with Henry and Regina:
http://screencapped.net/tv/onceuponatime/displayimage.php?album=1447&pid=1651790#top_display_mediaDunno that the Tink in the garden was meant to have any specific significance though. The character of Tink is generally considered to be one of the main mascots/icons of Disney, so it was fitting to have her represented in the first ep. And a white picket fence is a stereotypical thing in a friendly little town, so it made the perfect backdrop for the shot, when they were establishing the type of town SB is.

KeymasterThey might be the same fences, but it doesn’t mean it’s Snow’s house. Like Phee points out, it’s the same one Henry is hanging a bird feeder from in The Evil Queen. And more to the point, even if it is Snow’s it doesn’t mean that the connection is Snow and Tink. It’s a white picket fence, which is pretty standard in any small town in America. And the sign is just a reference to fairy tales. There may be something deeper going on, but I wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket just because of the fairy sign.

SpectatorThe writers always wanted to do PP from the start so I think it was a hint for down the line so it does confirm that this is Snow’s place other wise why didn’t they put it in Gold’s shop like the rest of the stuff was? The bird feeder was also a connection to Snow liking or talking to birds in the original story of Snow White.
The Fairy like the Nanny is connected to Snow since Snow White story was the main plot of the whole show.
The clock on the library was a tie in to NL too.
