It looks like those that guessed that Katerina would be Snow’s mom are correct. (Of course, the casting news of Rose McGowan as a young Cora, and news of Bailee Madison returning helped clue me in that she was Snow’s mom and not Aurora’s mom. ;))

Of course, it wouldn’t be OUaT if she didn’t have a surprising connection to someone we know. 😆 If OUaT were still doing it’s whole casting of mysterious brown eyed, brown haired men antics, I would have joked that Snow’s mom is really Bae, but thankfully they’ve stopped doing that now. I think that the surprising connection may be to Cora this is a two parter, and she must factor in somehow.

There wouldn’t be any wicked stepmothers without ex-wives, and ABC’s Once Upon a Time will soon introduce viewers to the never-before-seen angelic queen who gave life to Snow White before evil Regina moved in on her turf.

“The Snow White story usually begins with the stepmother trying to get rid of her,” says executive producer Edward Kitsis, “so we thought it would be fun to explore what Snow’s mom was like. Her name is Eva, and she’s the person who taught Snow White how to be Snow White.”

Likely airing in late February and early March, the two-part episode, featuring the return of child dynamo Bailee Madison as Young Snow, will naturally take a dark turn. Says exec producer Adam Horowitz: “Snow’s mother has a surprising connection to someone we know.”

And yet, no mention of the actress who’ll be playing her. They’re such teases! 😛

Yes, big congrats to those that called that one. I’m so out of touch with casting calls/interviews/pics etc., I’m going to have to some homework now! 😉 😆 I’m so looking forward to that story! Bailee Madison is such a cutie. I’m sure she’ll be doing a lot of scene stealing throughout the episode. 😀

Ah, Bailee Madison, I’m just in constant awe for her uncanny resemblance to Ginnifer!

Shall we start bets on who that surprising connection might be? 😈
My first guess would be Rumple – DUH. He is connected to absolutely everyone in this town/FTL!
Although I would like it to be someone else! It sounds like it is a significant one (although, as usual, it might just be a tease) but perhaps she has some connections to the Mills family?

I really want her to be connected to someone in the Mills family, mainly because of Henry and his messed up family tree. If I’m right and Bae is his dad, then that means pretty much everyone is biologically related to him except for Regina. Not that it isn’t enough for her to be his adoptive mother/step-great-grandmother, but I think it would be really cool if she were actually related to him, however distantly. Plus, it would make their family tumbleweed that much more complicated, and I like that.

I had a thought, what if Cora was Snow’s mom’s stepmother? 😆 Or maybe Snow’s mother is Cora’s sister, making Regina actually Snow’s half-sister? I could see a sibling rivalry happening, especially if they’re both vying over the same man — Snow’s dad (I’d like to see what he looked like when he was younger 😆 😆

I was thinking along the same lines – Snow’s mother and Cora could be sisters – one angelic, one hellish one. They could be rivals about something, Cora loses and curses her sister and her family – or something like that – a result of which could be that Regina subconsciously hates Snow anyway, just doesn’t know why until the incident with Daniel.

One of my little theories is that Snow’s mother became Wonderland’s White Queen, so I’d kinda love it if they tied that all together by having Eva and Cora having been estranged sisters in FTL, who ended up being opposing queens in Wonderland.

I’m assuming Red Queen and QoH would be mashed up into the one character. I’m thinking along the lines of what Tim Burton did for his Alice movie, where Red/QoH and White were portrayed as being estranged sisters.
