It could be as simple as Rumpelstiltskin tricking her into getting it back. I just think it’s unlikely right now that they’ll follow the Miller’s Daughter story exactly by having Cora get out of giving up her baby to Rumpel by guessing his name. I know Henry Sr. doesn’t refer to him by name, and it’s certainly possible that he kept his name from people until Cora found out what it was, and then after that he just decides to tell everyone his name.
With regards to Henry Sr, I think it makes total sense that Cora never told him about Rumple. If she married Prince Henry based on the fact that she could spin straw into gold, you don’t tell your new husband that it was all a trick and that you made a deal with the Dark One. He could banish you, annul the marriage, ect. She deceived royalty, so I think we need to bear that in mind. (Just like Cinderella didn’t tell Thomas about her deal with Rumple)
That’s a good point. It’s likely they probably never dealt with each other face to face for Rumpel to introduce himself properly, and Cora didn’t tell her husband every detail about her deal if she told him the truth at all. Maybe in We Are Both when he’s telling Regina about what Cora use to be like, he thinks that the Dark One went after Cora for no reason because he still doesn’t know the truth about Cora’s deal.

NATALIE: Executive producer Adam Horowitz confirms that Queen Eva has a “surprising connection to someone else in our world.” If your first guess is Cora — since it seems likely that the Evil Queen’s evil mother may have had a hand in Queen Eva’s death — you may be in for a treat. “That would be a feud that goes back so long,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. But what you may find more interesting? “You would think it would be easy to be Snow White’s mother, but perhaps Snow White wasn’t always Snow White,” Kitsis says.http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Bones-Greys-NCIS-Spoilers-1059174.aspx"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

In regards to the last part, I was wondering if maybe Snow White wasn’t procured by Rumple. In the original story, the queen was childless. By accident, she pricked her hand on a needle and three drops of blood fell on the snow. While looking at the blood, she wished for a daughter that had skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood and hair as black as ebony. Soon after, she became pregnant.
Well, maybe Snow White isn’t her biological daughter. I did wonder if Cora could have been her biological mother and gave her up to Rumple? That wouldn’t fly though as Reggie was the firstborn and would have known her mother was pregnant with another child.

This is so confusing. What do they mean by that?
Interesting theory, theGoldenKey, although it would still not quite explain it – it sounds like they are referring to something that must have changed while Snow White was already born…January 16, 2013 at 11:57 pm #168763angiebelleParticipantI think “Snow White wasn’t always Snow White” could mean that maybe she wasn’t always so sweet- that she went through a period in which she was a bratty child.

Maybe young Snow was really a brat.

That’s possible too.
January 17, 2013 at 2:41 pm #168801RumplesGirlKeymasterI’m thinking the death of Snow’s mother brought about a great change in young Snow Flake. Maybe her mom was very sweet and kind and gentle and tried to make Snow like her, but Princess Snow was a spoiled brat (her father seems like he would have spoiled her) but when Eva dies, Snow changes to be more like her mother.
