HappyEndings
SpectatorSaw someone on tumblr say that filming wasn’t allowed and that’s why there’s no vid of the Rumple scene online, but this person hadn’t been there themselves, and I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere else. Though Adam did reply to someone who tweeted that they “just saw the teaser” and he asked where they saw it. Turns out by “teaser” they just meant a promo on ABC, but the fact that Adam wanted to find out where they saw it makes me wonder if there was some rule mentioned about no one recording it and posting it?
I was wondering that too because of that tweet reply from Adam. I thought someone from this board was there but she/he didn’t mention that you couldn’t film only that they got to engross into what was going on.

SpectatorWhich is actually not fair, because not everyone is able to go to D23 and still there are a lot of fans who like to see this spoiler clip too. I know that I am exaggerating right now, but I was really looking forward to see this spoiler
I agree or don’t show it all in my opinion.

KeymasterIt’s not uncommon; it was that way at SDCC too, you could only film the panel but not the special clips they showed (Good Morning SB, Ariel, ect) but this time around ABC released mere seconds after the panel was finished. I thought they’d do the same this time, but now I’m thinking they are holding it off until next month when this clip will be our first “sneak peak” for 301.
@angiebelle: if you should read this, did they ask that no one film the scene?I’m really torn about the idea of fairness. On the one hand, I really want the panel and the sneak peak. Sooooo bad. But on the other hand, the people who *were* there should get something more because they’ve paid for it. They took their hard earned money and their time (some people fly in from everywhere!) for this (same for SDCC) and they get rewarded.
Also, it’s marketing strategy. ABC is beginning the whole “get people excited for the show again” phase which means live tweeting the panel (which they did) and they will release the clip someday (like I said above, probably in a month). I’m torn about it but I don’t have the money to be able to fly out and go to panel but for those that do, they should be a little something extra. ParticipantI’m okay with waiting to see the clip. I’m curious about the panel video.

ParticipantMe too–the live tweets are nice but it is fun to see the actual reactions and words used. I don’t mind not seeing the clip, but footage of the panel is not equivalent to being there, potentially able to ask a question. The people who go still get enough out of the experience, and lucky AngieBelle that she was able to go!
I guess the texas panel was never fully released anyway.

ParticipantI have a new, dirty plan. I’m gonna make a fake twitter and try to trick Adam into getting ABC to release it by attempting to make him think that I have it (and tell him that if they don’t post it within the next 2 days, I’ll be uploading it myself).
I feel slightly evil and bad about it but I don’t even care anymore. I’m so sick of waiting.
It costs way too much for people like Phee & I to fly over just for the convention. There’s the cost of the plane ticket, a place to stay, entry into the convention its self and on top of all of that we need stuff to eat and drink. All up it would be around $5000. Not worth it just for one clip.

Wouldn’t say I’m OK with waiting, but I’m resigned to waiting. Really wish someone would upload the panel though, because there shouldn’t be any restrictions on that.
Oh, and yes, the cost is nuts. I’ve been to North America twice on fangirly business but never actually tallied up the accurate total spent, coz it was too scary.

KeymasterI agree it’s unfair (especially for the people down under) but they call it an “exclusive” clip for a reason. And there is no use crying over spilled milk at this point, honestly. ABC owns the show, it’s their property to do with as they wish. They will release it eventually. We do have very detailed scene descriptions, to the point where we are 6 pages deep in the “Was Rumple a Lost Boy?” thread.
The panel video..I’ll grant that is a mystery. Give it a few more days."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August 12, 2013 at 12:08 pm #204485angiebelle
ParticipantI can tell you that while some presentations were very explicit about having cameras and phones off- nothing was said on the subject when we went to the OuaT panel. I definitely saw cameras going at least during the panel- not sure about the clip itself, but I did not hear any announcements that we couldn’t or anyone being told to turn off their camera.
I bet the clip will be up within the next few weeks- either officially or unofficially. The sneak of The Miller’s Daughter that they showed at Paleyfest was up on the ABC site pretty quickly!
Most of the panel was reintegrating what we already knew from Comic Con and other interviews, although there were a few new nuggets of info.
Oh- we also saw the 19 minute Wonderland preview…looks intriguing! Can’t wait!
