I saw the original version of this movie on Hulu (1947)- it is a part of the Criterion Collection they hyped over the summer. I think it was done in the…Surrealist style? It’s worth a watch just to see what they were able to do before the days of CGI. I was impressed. But also spooked. Surrealism makes me feel really unsettled. Kind of creepy.
