Completely agree. Rumpel is a very loving and kind person, and all these characteristics are still there in him. It is “skin deep,” because of the Dark One curse.

My most favorite episodes for Season One are”Desparate Soul,” and “The Return.”
Yes, both are Rumpel/Bea love. In “Desparate Soul,” Rumpel stoped and gave some money to a beggar (previous Dark One), even when he was in a hurry trying to flee from town to save Bae from going to the war. Rumpel was so kind there. And then, his conversation with the previous Dark One while Bae was sleeeping just broke my heart…. Oh, I really hope Rumpel will not make a wrong decision with Henry and have to lose Bae again.

We should be getting one more today. But I get the feeling they want Hook’s return to be a big surprise since he’s supposed to turn up really unexpectedly, which is why they are keeping the peeks to people other than Hook.

I’d like to see a sneak peek with Lacey herself. I’ve been dying to see Belle’s alter ego since they first admitted she had one, and so far we have only gotten the photos and a brief clip of her saying “You really are as dark as people say.”

Question: Lacey is supposed to be Belle’s opposite, correct? If so, didn’t Belle tell Hook that his heart was rotten? If Lacey is Belle’s opposite, then what happened to her heart? Would it be fair to say then, that Hook has an opposite too (as may possibly, them all)? Just food for thought.

Yes, come to think of it, they have done a really good job keeping Hook’s return under wraps. I haven’t seen anything about when or how he is returning. I hope it stays a surprise – I’m excited to see Hook again but really want the surprise factor with his appearance!

According to an interview with EdR it’s not that she’s “bad” or the opposite of Belle, she’s just different. She’s confident and a bit of a free spirit and likes to wear skimpy clothing because she knows she can. She likes to have fun. Their SB personalities aren’t really their “opposites” so much as the curse brought out their traits that weren’t as noble and made them the predominate ones. Lacey’s heart isn’t rotten, she just likes to live differently than Belle. And, as far as Hook goes, I hated that line about his heart being rotten because this show is clearly based around the idea that there is no purely evil person or truly good person. We are all delicate shades of gray. I think it was kind of a throw away line.

Thanks for the clarity. I agree. I didn’t like that line, either. It didn’t seem to fit the theme of the show.

I really think that rumple is actually going to make the right decision about Henry which is going to lead to his undoing which I believe is him not being the dark one.
