In the following video interview, Parrilla sets the scene for her character this season. Under discussion, the challenges that come with Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) being such “an honourable man” and the thorny issue of the Robin Marian Regina love triangle.
According to Parrilla what makes Robin such a challenge is also the reason our favorite Evil Regal loves him so much.
Parrilla also shares her enthusiasm for the show’s Frozen-themed fourth season. “Everyone’s really excited about Frozen. Elsa and Anna are huge characters and so popular right now. I’m looking forward to that arc, and that story being told.”
Fans who are worried the Frozen storyline may have effectively put Regina on ice (read sulking behind doors) need not worry, according to show creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Speaking at the season premiere event recently, the pair dished that Evil Regals have a new Regina-centric storyline to look forward to this season concerning her search for the author of the magical fairytale book that gives happy endings to its heroes. Might the author be persuaded to grant Regina a happily ever after of her own?
