Kind of a crack-pot theory here, but I imagine we’ve not heard the end of Lancelot’s story. We know he was in love with a woman– which caused his downfall from the round table, and although we may assume the woman is Guinevere… since when have the writers of this show given us a straight answer to anything?

Considering all the tie-ins with Lancelot to bodies of water, and how we never saw any of those… do you think it’s possible he may be involved with the Little Mermaid story at all? We know the writers love throwing stories on their heads and try and connect everything in about a thousand different directions. Going by the mention of little mermaid in Skin Deep, and judging by the episode titles and the fact that I'm pretty sure the writers have said 'yeah, Ariel will be in the show', do you think they could be connected?

That would be interesting. Plus we know K&H have said that they don't understand why everyone believes Cora when she says Lancelot is dead. That would be his happy ending considering he never got Guinevere.

I was expecting to see The Lady of the Lake in the Lady of the Lake episode, not even thinking the title actually referred to Lancelot who’s surname Du Lac or whatever means Lake but it would be a very cool twist if Ariel turned out to be the Lady of the Lake. Adam & Eddie are really good at mixing up and intertwining these characters stories in a way that make sense.

Or maybe Guinevere was the Lady of the Lake and became human and married Arthur, much to Lancelot's dismay and he tried to woe her away from Arthur which would keep in line with the Arthur/Lancelot/Guin love triangle.

I like this theory. Maybe the upcoming epsiode titled Into the Deep will give us Lancelot’s backstory.
