I really don’t want to see anyone have to be sacrificed! This is supposed to be a show about hope!

Like I stated earlier Henry has to be like the next star wars hero, the Outsider is from outerspace and so was Greg’s ring tone and the fact that Emma mention on a show once that who knew that she would be the mother of the next star wars guy something like that in my opinion.
I think that if this was in an interview Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma, was talking about being the mother of Captain Kirt in the Star Trek movie, which she was… I don’t think this was about once, or star wars
Yeah you are right there- she did play Capt. Kirt’s mother.

I know I’ve said this before, but I wish there were a “like” or “favorite” button I could click for posts I like and agree with. 😎

Heros don't get their Happy Ending!

I know & I wish the same, BUT…………… 🙁 Tell that to Graham 😥 A&E can & will take down someone if it will have a big emotional impact- they’ve done it before & they will do it again, as in their own words ‘the stakes have to be real’ & ‘what’s the point if there is no real danger’ …. the guy’s scare the oats outta me sometimes- I’d like their point to be- they lived through it all lol 😉
February 16, 2013 at 6:16 am #173637angiebelleParticipantIt didn’t bother me that much with Graham- I was able to take his death…and really he is the only major death they’ve done. All the other deaths have been of minor side characters or ones we knew were doomed in advance or fake outs like with Archie and Katherine. I just really don’t want to see anything happen to the Charmings, Rumple, or Regina. (Or Belle since she is my favorite fairytale character of all time.) I want to believe they are safe. They are too important to the core story of the show.

You mean actively seeking death for a chance that ‘good/ your side’ may possibly have a chance of winning, as opposed to simply fighting a battle you are likely to die in? I see both as sacrifice is all – anybody who goes into battle is effectively willing to sacrifice themselves to theoretically save those they are battling for.
I wonder if it will come down to “The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing” but by doing so, someone must die OR it comes down to which way the prophecy is interpreted- will doing/acting on it, cause it to come to pass, OR will not acting on it cause it to come to pass. It could be that that in order for it to come to pass Henry will have to do something that will put him extreme peril- but Gold cant tell if this action will cause the final battle to be won or lost- so has doesn’t know which way to turn now Henry is ‘family & no longer simply another disposable pawn in his major game plan’

A&E have said NONE of the characters are safe- Like you, I don’t want to see the Charmings (or Hook for me at this point), come to an untimely end- I could understand why killing Regina or Rumple would work for their respective total redemptions- but I would be sad about it as i’ve come to like them both a lot.
Personally (& I broke my own rule here with Hook lol), I try not to get to attached to the minor & guest characters, as like you say- they tend to get knocked on the head a lot, or simply never seen or heard of again lol 😉The point is, A&E do like the dramatic & they have told us all along ‘there will be casualties’ & again, ‘no one is safe’ & that’s what makes me nervous.

I really don’t get that Redemption Equals Death trope. I find it really disturbing to say the least. I hope Rumpel or Regina won’t have to die in order to being redeemed. If they must die I don’t want it to be for that reason. Please writers you can do better than that.

I didn’t say I liked it 😉
I said I can understand it, for this reason- Rumple & Regina have destroyed & murdered so Many people, that for totally, honest, honourable & meaningful redemption, very, very little, if anything short of willingly sacrificing themselves for those they love, those they hate & the ‘good’ of the rest of the EF folk, is going to cut the mustard to help make amends. They have quite frankly committed some pretty full on atrocities & while we may see the the emotional reasons that lead them to do what they did, it doesn’t change the fact they committed them (for the most part without hesitation, it’s not like they had their arms twisted- they choose to do what they did). Remember forgiveness & redemption are 2 very different things, so they may well be forgiven their actions by some, but still not redeemed.
I kind of think of Prof. Snape when it comes to those 2, his death, while tragic, gave him honour & redemption, as well as forgiveness in everyone’s eye’s (or I’d hope so anyway- I still wish he had lived tho) & he didn’t actively do half of the twisted stuff Rumple & Regina have done 😉
So like I say, I can understand it, but I still would rather they all lived happily ever after – ALL of them 😉 -
