Frankly I am disgusted by all this primarily with Cora an Leopold, Eva was a brat and a jerk but what came to my mind is that no one knew what Cora did afterwards. No one knew Cora gave her first born up, so when Leopold met Regina he probably thought she was the baby that prevented him from marrying Cora. Which explains why he said when proposing to Regina that she is lucky on having a mother that looks out for her. Could also explain why he could never really love Regina. Snow’s parents are just awful and Cora was just horrible. Some people where mad that ghost Cora was throwing Regina around and that it ruined her character because she had obtained her heart again. They seem to forget that even before she took out her heart she abandoned a baby in the middle of the woods. Glad they all died, horrible just horrible people.

Glad I’m not the only one who is really ick-ed out by this development.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 22, 2014 at 3:57 pm #263155obisgirlParticipantMy theory didn’t pan out the way I thought it would but it’s still interesting that Leopold and Eva were betrothed since birth. It’s always true love on this show and it’s very refreshing to hear about arranged marriages and true love can even blossom from that.
April 22, 2014 at 9:41 pm #263203KebParticipantAgain, I think that Leo would never have assumed that Regina was Zelena. He would have known about Regina’s birth, as she was born to royalty and publicly presented as such, and he’s capable of math–it would have happened a minimum of 16 months after he met Cora.
Doesn’t make it less sketchy that he was willing to marry Regina after being engaged to her mother, but I don’t think that there’s the slightest reason to believe that he still loved Cora then or that he believed he was marrying the baby that she’d been carrying when they were engaged.

How many times now have they teased something close to incestuous? Both times it involved Cora.
The first, that maybe Regina was Rumple’s daughter and she never was and the second, was that Zelena could have been possibly Leopold’s daughter but she never actually was.
What last Sunday’s episode proved, was that Leo almost came close to being Zelena’s adopted father.
The Oncer writers like to dangle the incest but they never actually go there.
Trust me, I watch soaps where there is incest running crazy all the time. Everybody sleeps with everyone else within the immediate family.
We only know Cora slept with the royal gardener and never saw anything of the like happen between Cora and Leopold and knowing the character differences between Leopold and Jonathan, my guess, is that the most that ever happened between Cora and Leo is that they kissed.
I don’t think they ever slept together.
Is it still weird that Cora and Leopold had a relationship? Yes. But I think what the episode boiled down to is that Cora and Eva had a longer-standing rivalry than we what originally saw in the Miller’s Daughter. That was the bigger point.
I mean, Bleeding Through, happened at least 20 years before the events of The Miller’s Daughter, where Cora wasn’t as bright as we saw her. She still seemed a bit of a hot-head, but she was more naive than anything else. She totally bought Jonathan’s story that he was a prince after seeing that conveniently dropped royal seal without asking for proper royal credentials. She just assumed.
Is it still weird that Cora forced Regina to marry a king she almost married? Yes, but I think of it, more as a part of her vendetta against Eva. Eva was a tell-all like her daughter. Both women can’t keep secrets.
Those are my thoughts.

What did you mean that the events of Bleeding Through are 20 years before Miller’s Daughter?
April 23, 2014 at 11:03 am #263256RumplesGirlKeymasterEva and Cora were both around the same age in the Miller’s Daughter as Bleeding Through. I think only a few years had passed between incidents. And Regina and Zelena are close in age. Max of 5 yrs, maybe??
And I agree–Cora and Leo never slept together or else Cora totally would have tried to pass of that baby as his. It’s still just…icky
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 23, 2014 at 6:10 pm #263351obisgirlParticipantI was going on what Keb said.
Well, Zelena was conceived at least 20 years before Leo proposed to Regina. Simple math dictates that.
April 23, 2014 at 10:00 pm #263390KebParticipantNo. Not 20 years before Miller’s daughter. That’s probably a year or so at most.
20 years before Leo proposes to Regina, so the events of the Stable Boy.
Reasoning: Regina is about 18 then. She’s conceived after Cora’s marriage to Henry, so add another year for gestation and a few months between winning Henry’s hand and the actual marriage (because she studied magic then and there was enough time for rumors of her thing with Rumple to spread). Add in another year for Zelena’s gestation & time for things to go back to normal before The Miller’s Daughter.
That’s 20 years between his proposals to Cora & Regina, give or take at max a couple of years (and more likely, more years rather than less).
