Eva actually protected Leo’s kingdom by helping to expose Cora but what the nobody cares about that only poor poor Cora.

Note: I would be nice to get Eva’s point of view for a change. Also it would have been nice if Snow saw the whole story not just the part with her mother.

I’m also tired of Cora’s manipulations and lies being rebranded as her “being wronged.” Cora and Jonathan were responsible for Zelena. Cora conceived a child with Jonathan, not with Leopold, so it’s wrong to place blame with either Leo or Eva for Cora being pregnant out of wedlock. Cora really could’ve found another way to go about helping Zelena than by abandoning her own child. Maybe Cora could’ve given her baby to be raised by spinners, like the ones who raised Rumplesitltksin. There are better options than to leave a child in the woods. Cora could’ve told Leo the truth and appealed to him for help, and he probably would’ve given her financial aid or helped her find and adoptive family for Zelena in his kingdom, simply because is was a benevolent king.

Perhaps Eva’s intentions were to prevent Leopold from marrying Cora, but she did tell the man she’d been betrothed to the truth, which is something I doubt Cora would’ve done. Perhaps Eva was selfish in wanting to protect her own position as queen, but she was correct to let Leopold know what sort of woman he was really dealing with. Cora was shown to be a gold-digging social climber who only said yes to Jonathan’s fake proposal because she thought he was royalty. Cora then tried to entrap Jonathan by conceiving his child when she thought he might not marry her. After Jonathan let it be known he was the gardner, Cora accused him of taking her virtue, even though it was she who made the offer to let him spend the night.

Also, Cora didn’t love Leopold; she merely loved his crown, and saw him as her ticket to a better life. I can say with certainty that Cora didn’t love Leo, because Cora herself said in 2×16 that Rumple was the only man she’d ever loved. Cora was lying to him and would later try to pass off Zelena as Leopold’s child, which is just wrong any way you look at it. Maybe Cora would’ve eventually come clean to Leopold, after they were safely married, but I doubt it seeing as Cora was never a beacon of truth. At least Eva was honest. It’s not like she was condemning an innocent woman, since Cora was the one manipulating Leopold.

I, too, would like to get Eva’s backstory one day and her perspective. We know that Eva was a bit of a brat in her younger days who tripped Cora in 2×16. Yet, we also know that something must have happened to Princess Eva since she transformed into a kind, compassionate queen by the time Snow White was about 12. We saw what a pure heart Eva had as she lay dying in “The Queen in Dead” since Eva was intent on doing the right thing and teaching her daughter that lesson. Eva would’ve refused Snow from trading someone else’s life for her own. Eva may have started out spoiled and selfish, but she transformed into an honorable, morally upright woman, as she strove to teach Snow the same lesson.

This episode changes the whole history between Leo & Eva & Cora & Regina in my opinion. All this time we were sure that Leo loved Eva, but I think that he never did. He never stopped loving Cora.

I have to disagree with this notion. I think Leopold just needed to give Eva a chance, since they hadn’t met prior to her visiting him. Over time, Leopold really did come to love Eva, as evidenced by his words about her in 1×11 “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree.” The reason Regina never felt loved by Leo is because he never stopped loving Eva, not Cora.
