Could she be Meg?
I only say that because Lily’s casting call read: “a bright, self-reliant teen who boasts a charming, take-no-prisoners punk exterior and the heart of a secretive, insecure opportunist”
That sounds an awful lot like Meg. Lest we forget how insecure Meg was under her sassy girl facade. Lily even look like how I would imagine a young Meg to look. High ponytail and everything. And the man talking to the police about her, the one who “adopted her” is Hades controlling her. How else would he have been able to find her so quick.
I cannot shake the potential Hercules plot. Especially after randomly seeing those Grecian artifacts in the winter finale during the Rumple and Belle flashback. There was a helmet and some other things on Rumple’s shelf. It was so odd.
We know Lily can’t be the sorcerer because A&E already said the sorcerer was not someone we already met. And we know the author is a he not a she because Rumple used the male pronoun when referring to the author at the end of the winter finale. So even if the sorcerer and the author were different people, Lily couldn’t be either of them. And also making her Tiger Lily would be way too easy. Plus I don’t think the show is going to start up the Neverland arc again when they have so many other characters to choose from.
I also cannot get over her star birthmark. Some people have been floating theories that it is connected to the stars on the hat making her the sorcerer but we now know that cannot be. However, it could apply to a Hercules storyline. The Cosmos and stars were extremely important to the Hercules story so maybe the birthmark is there because she has the Gods [the Greek Gods that is] on her side somehow.
Meg let someone into her life before and that person betrayed her which is why she ends up the way she is. Well Lily let Emma in and then Emma kind of abandoned her too which could lead to the formation fo the Meg personality we know. I read somewhere that someone thought Lily might be Esmeralda but that wouldn’t fit that casting call. There are many other phrases that would describe Esmeralda before the ones that were used for Lily.
Emma and Meg aren’t that different considering Emma used to be super against letting people in, a problem not restricted mostly to her love life and men [cough cough Meg too]. Then again, Emma and Lily also had a weird “Fox and the Hound” moment with the friends forever thing and then they got seperated [the metaphor only occurred to me when I rewatched some scenes showing the interior of the mystery mansion in Storybrooke because there were fox and hound book ends] but I think that is just a coincidence. Back to the task at hand.
I really do think Lily is Meg.

And when I saw the helmet and greek-ish things in the cabinet, I knew they meant something so I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed. Lily and Meg ate very similar and Emma and Meg are very similar, I just wonder how that all works out timeline wise, how Hercules fits into it, and ya know,ancient Greece. Its all very cof using but I would like lily to be meg. Or the black fairy. Or both.

Lilith is Zelena and Rumple’s daughter. Before Zelena lost her magic she put a spell on herself which protected her from being killed be the dagger, as insurance. When she was stabbed her magic sensed the danger she was in tried to help her escape from SB by using the time spell, but ended up dumping her in the past, in the location where SB now stands, only a little time before the curse brought SB to our world. She realised what happened and tried to live a normal life in our world, where she had Lilith and, a few years later, married a man who went on to adopt Lilith, before having children with him. Lilith, not being her father’s ‘real’ daughter always felt left out, especially because her mother would never tell her anything about her bio father and family history (and feeling sad seeing her siblings interact with their paternal grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins).
Zelena was pregnant with Lilith when Rumple stabbed her, and that’s where her scar comes from.
As of yet, no one knows what really happened to Zelena. This would be a cool way for everyone to find out imo.

Ah! I thought about this:
She got pregnant just before she used the silver slippers to get back to Oz. When she found out she was pregnant she freaked out and took a potion to pause the pregnancy (stopping any symptoms and the fetus from growing), but when she was transported back in time to our world the potion’s effects were negated and the pregnancy started to continue on as normal.

I am not sure she is related to anyone on the show, or that her other identity is that of another Disney character, I just think she is a fallen star or angel, and a new character unrelated to fairy tales, myths, legends or novels. She might be biblical, but that’s about it.
Perhaps she was inside the hat and was released? Perhaps she was placed inside the hat many eons ago to keep the original dark magic at bay, and that for some reason she was reborn as a younger self when she came out, or was trapped at a young age and subsequently lost her memories as to her origins?

Who is MEG and what story are you referring too?? I am lost and do not think I have seen all the fairy tales / DISNEY shows you are pulling from so it is hard to figure out it you have not seen the same shows/ films.
