Final Sunday night live viewing numbers. We stayed tied with Amazing Race, though they had slightly higher viewers.

Staying the same is better than falling 🙂 And after the Live +7, our ratings share will be closer to 3.0. ABC is perfectly happy with Once, I think, and is happy to keep it on air.

Well, if it cheers anyone up..alot of my friends at work are catching up now that walking dead is over so I think once will be picking up in viewers after the last spring hiatus…especially now that I let them know what the last two titles are going to be, and they like me assume that means we are going to Neverland. which is why it is a lot of my guy friends who are catching up now!! If Peter Pan is involved I think it will bring in more male viewers especially those who liked the movie Hook.

This should help put Oncers at ease, as far the ratings are concerned.

    Doubt it will 😉

That people are worrying about ratings could be taken as a bit of a bad sign, not the ratings themselves at the moment, losing faith in the strength of the story telling, of the show. 😛
    Sorry, teasing. 😉

I think it’s natural to worry about the ratings because if you just look at season numbers, there has been a marked “down” to them each week. But if we look across the board, not just live ratings, we’re doing really well. I think the fact that we worry about the ratings is sign how much we love this show.

Once was 5th in prime time broadcast and cable (behind things like Loiter Squad, Mini History series about the bible – what are peeps looking on a Sunday eve is strange), number 1 when looking just at broadcast. 😀

An interesting article I just read about correlation between Twitter and TV ratings:

I read that second article this morning and honestly, it just made me 😆 😆 and scratch my head. I mean, people use twitter and getglue to chat about their favorite TV shows, so that’s not really anything new.

It’s just seemed ridiculous that Nielsen felt the need to validate what we already knew: we chat about our favorite shows on twitter and sometimes, that translates into ratings.

Shocking. Social media might show how people feel about TV shows. My goodness. This is world shattering.
