😆 😆 Exactly.
[adrotate group="5"]March 20, 2013 at 6:47 pm #181178RumplesGirlKeymasterBUT yay for us being the number one with broadcast (no cable)!!! The Bible series over on history channel ends this Sunday so when we’re back from Spring Hiatus we won’t have to go up against it which will be nice (it’s pulling in bizarre numbers for a show on a channel that has gone rapidly downhill in the past few years)

RATINGS
Once Upon a Time 2.9 (2.89) 8.79 MILLION season 2 ratings
Last year, Once Upon a Time got off to a positive start in the ratings but then kept falling each week. It looked like the show would be in danger of being cancelled but the numbers picked up a bit and stopped falling. Will the ratings hold steady this season, rise or sink? It’s not magic but we will have to be patient.
The second season of Once Upon a Time typically airs Sunday nights on ABC. The large cast includes Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Jared Gilmore, Raphael Sbarge, Meghan Ory, Emilie de Ravin, Giancarlo Esposito, Eion Bailey, Anastasia Griffith, Jamie Dornan, Sebastian Stan, Barbara Hershey, Lee Arenberg, David Anders, Jesse Schram, and Tony Perez.
Here are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Once Upon a Time is going to be cancelled or renewed for season three.
These figures will be updated as the weeks progress so be sure to bookmark and return to this page:

3.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.36 million total viewers.
Season averages: 3.90 in the demo with 11.36 million.Year-to-year, the season debut of Once Upon a Time was down slightly from the series premiere, by 3% in the demo (vs a 4.0 rating) and down by 12% in viewership (vs 12.93 million). These were the highest numbers since the show’s second episode last October. It was a very strong start.
Reference point: The 2011-12 season averaged a 3.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 9.92 million viewers.Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like the Once Upon a Time TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?

.March 21, 2013 at 1:37 am #181245RumplesGirlKeymasterOnce again third overall in the ABC ratings. We’re in super good company with Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family. 2.9 ratings share, good. And I don’t know if I agree that the show’s ever been in serious danger of cancellation.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 21, 2013 at 3:29 am #181260nonnieParticipantNever said they were going to be cancelled but I wondered why we lost so many viewers…. especially cause the last 3-4 shows have been epic in story line, stellar acting…
DOES anyone have a link to a site that can add DVR viewing, also ABC, netlicks, iTunes, and Hulu numbers…. I think this is where some of the fans hide out..
I know we are doing pretty good in other countries… but I also know if we do not do well in the USA they pull the plug regardless of how well it does in other countries.

.March 21, 2013 at 7:43 pm #181400obisgirlParticipantI think the problem has been that there’s been too many hiatuses this season. We have another hiatus coming up after this week’s episode and that one will be 3 weeks I believe.
March 21, 2013 at 10:23 pm #181467MatthewPaulModeratorHate to say this again, but the number of hiatuses are no different than Season 1. Once just had more momentum against the NFL Championship game and award shows last year. This year, not so much and the ratings took a dive as a result. Notice how “In The Name of the Brother” got a 2.4 share and 7.68 million viewers, when “The Outsider” managed a 2.8 share and 8.24 million viewers only the week before. The Championship game caused that ratings fall, and it doesn’t help that Once went up against The Grammy’s immediately after it returned. Since “In the Name of the Brother”, we have yet to get into the higher 2 shares or over 8 million viewers again.
March 21, 2013 at 10:39 pm #181470RumplesGirlKeymasterI think they need to rethink which episodes come after the hiatuses. They need the episodes after a break to be HUGE ones, the ones you know you CAN’T miss.

You mean live, right? Because live +7 is always about 2.7-3.0 with 8.5-10 million views.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 21, 2013 at 10:48 pm #181475obisgirlParticipantIn the Name of the Brother was an okay episode. I wouldn’t call it an awesome episode though, so I understand if that one was low.

I thought it was one of the weakest of the season and what I did like about it had nothing to do with the “A” storyline of Dr. Whale and I think several people felt that way, so yes, I can see why it was low. Like I said, when they come back from long breaks it needs to be with stellar episodes because if you do that then people are more likely to tune in the following week than if you start off with a weaker one.
